It's Christmas time, which means if you haven't already got it, we assume FIFA 22 was on the wishlist?!
Whether you're only just getting on the game, or had it on pre-order straight away, giving yourself some Career Mode Challenges can keep the game mode fresh and exciting, as well as testing your skills as a FIFA player and manager.
Below are some Career Mode Challenges of varying difficulties, see if you have what it takes to complete them!
New Money Newcastle
Here's a nice easy starter challenge for you!
Much has been made of the financial takeover that has happened at Newcastle United, and we wait to see what sort of budget the club may have on next years game - as well as what may happen in the January transfer window.
On FIFA 22, they have a measly £29 million budget - for now.
When you set up your Career Mode save there is a financial takeover option, where you can give the club up to £1,000,000,000!
You can go all out if you want, but we think going for the £500,000,000 influx will be more than enough.
If you've had that financial injection, the board will want to see results, so that means you need to win the Premier League in the first season, and win the Champions League in the second.
A quick and fun challenge to get used to the new game.
Barca's Billion Blunder
On the other end of the financial scale is Barcelona, who have somehow got into a £1 billion debt.
For this challenge, you cannot spend any money on transfer fees, only player wages.
Luckily, the club has a few wonderkids in its ranks to help out, and you will be relying heavily on your youth academy.
You can bring in players on contract expiry signings, but you cannot offer them any signing or performance-based bonuses!
See if you can transform the club with the purse strings tied.
5-Time League Champion
Winning the league will be most managers' ambition, and once you've conquered it once, you will likely find it easy to repeat the feat as you build a dynasty at the same club.
However, for this challenge, you must win the same league title five times with five different clubs.
Not only will you be competing against what the computer has to offer, but you will also be pit against teams you built yourself.
For bonus points, complete the challenge in only five seasons!
The Fresh Start
A fun one for transforming a club, at the start of your Career Mode you must transfer list all of the players you can.
Then, when an offer comes in for them, you have to accept it!
This can be especially fun with the bigger teams, shaking up the status quo of established sides and then bringing in some new boys with the funds you gain.
Average 11
Now, this isn't about signing average-rated players but instead is to do with the average age of a footballer.
In most teams, you will find that the average age of the squad is 27 years old, so in this challenge, you can only sign players that are aged 26 to 27.
Wait, why 26, we hear you ask!
The end goal of this challenge is to be fielding a team of 27-year-olds week in, week out, which could prove difficult to assemble without a little leeway - we don't want to be too harsh.
It will test your ability on the transfer market and at scouting, but it'll feel great when you've compiled that whole squad of 27-year-olds.
Fair Play Frenzy
If you're looking for something really tough and will make you adjust your play style, this Fair Play challenge is for you.
Any time a player is booked, you must terminate their contract!
No more reckless sliding tackles or cynical fouls, it's time to play with your sensible hat on.
