October was a quieter month in the Bundesliga, with each team playing just three games. However, there have been significant changes at both ends of the table.
Borussia Monchengladbach currently sit atop of the table on 19 points, one point ahead of Bayern Munich, collecting six points from a possible nine.
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim were the only side to pick up maximum points in the month as we enter the busy winter period.
Here are the five players RealSport think should be in the running for the individual award in October.
Robert Lewandowski (OVR 89 - POTM 91)
Another nomination for Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski who just can't stop finding the back of the net. August's Player of the Month was also shortlisted for the individual award in September, which was won by Schalke’s Amine Harit.
Whilst the month may have been a disappointment for Bayern, who picked up just four points out of nine after a rare home defeat against Hoffenheim, Lewandowski took his goal tally to 13 for the season, averaging one every 60 minutes.

You can currently pick up Lewandowski’s base card for around 55,000 coins on both PS4 and Xbox One. A 90 in-form for the Pole is worth north of 185,000 coins on both consoles.
Patrick Herrmann (OVR 77 - POTM 84)
The first of two Monchengladbach players who make the shortlist after a fine month for the early pacesetters, who picked up two wins from three in October to sit a point clear of Bayern.
Herrmann picked up a quickfire double against Augsburg in the 5-1 drubbing at the start of the month and grabbed an assist at the weekend in 'Gladbach's 4-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Herrmann’s base card is on the market for less than 1,000 coins on both platforms.
Dodi Lukebakio (OVR 75 - POTM 82)
Another forward that should be in contention for the award this month is Hertha Berlin's Belgian striker Dodi Lukebakio.
The 22-year-old made the permanent move to Germany from Watford in the summer and has hit the ground running for Die Alte Dame, who currently sit in 11th place in the table.
Lukebakio grabbed a late equaliser away at Werder Bremen and also found the back of the net in the home defeat against Hoffenheim as his side picked up four points in October to solidify their place in mid table.
The Belgian’s base card comes in at just a 75 overall and can be picked up for less than 1k on PS4 and Xbox One
Milot Rashica (OVR 79 - POTM 85)
The next name to make our shortlist for the award is Werder Bremen’s Kosovo winger Milot Rashica.
Three games, three draws and three points took Werder's tally for the season to 10 points, opening up a three-point gap on the relegation zone.
Rashica grabbed two goals in those three games, including a stoppage time penalty away at Eintracht. With few standout players in the month of October, that should be enough to warrant a place on the shortlist.
Rashica is on the market for 1,400 coins on PS4 and Xbox One, however with 90 pace on his base card, it is likely that a potential POTM card would be highly sought after.
Denis Zakaria (OVR 78 - POTM 84)
The second Monchengladbach player which we have selected to make the five man shortlist is Swiss central midfielder Zakaria.
Like his teammate Lukabakio, Zakaria also grabbed two gaols in thee month, the opener against Augsburg as well rounding off the scoring against Eintracht.

Zakaria’s base card has a 78 overall rating and is available on the market for less than 2k. Expect that to jump to an 83/84 should he be awarded the October POTM award.
