Team of the Week (TOTW) 3 predictions

The Premier League's top three remain unbeaten following Liverpool's late equaliser against Chelsea and Manchester City's routine win over Brighton. Jose Mourinho's turmoil continued as an impressive West Ham team who look invigorated after a tricky start to the season beat his hapless Manchester United side. Newcastle, Huddersfield and Cardiff all remain winless after their defeats. at the weekend.

Further north, Steven Gerrard's Rangers lost to newly promoted Livingstone whilst Hearts remain top of the SPL after beating St Johnstone 2-1. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid dropped points again after midweek defeats as Sevilla closed the gap at the top to just one point. Bayern lost their first game of the season and were leapfrogged by Dortmund who beat Bayer Leverkusen. Juventus and PSG kept up their perfect starts to the season and have already opened up a six and eight point gap, respectively.

Each week FUT selects a squad of 23 players to receive in-form cards based on their performances over the previous week. These cards are given higher ratings than the usual card and will be available in packs and on the transfer market from Wednesday 3 October. The TOTW will also be available to challenge in single player mode to earn yourself some extra coins.

Alisson (OVR 85 – IF 89)

After joining Liverpool in the summer, Alisson has started life at Anfield brilliantly helping the Reds to an unbeaten start in the Premier League. The Brazilian shot-stopper made two excellent saves from compatriot Willian and boasts an 84% save percentage.

Liverpool keeper Alisson will not come cheap and will set FUT fans back around 30,000 coins on both consoles. After another solid performance, Alisson should receive an in-form card rated 89.

Oscar de Marcos (OVR 79 – IF 84)

Athletic Bilbao right-back Oscar de Marcos enjoyed an excellent game as they held reigning champions Barcelona to a 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp. De Marcos made two last man tackles and topped off his Man of the Match performance with the opening goal before Barcelona’s late equaliser.

The Spaniard’s basic 79 OVR card is available for 1,000 coins on both PS4 and Xbox One. His in-form card should reach a rating of 84.

Harry Maguire (OVR 82 – IF 86)

England international centre back Harry Maguire was a key part in Leicester shutting out Newcastle in their 2-0 win at St James’ Park. The 25-year-old made a name for himself at the World Cup with England and powered home a header from James Maddison’s corner to make it 2-0 to the Foxes.

Imposing central defender Maguire already boasts an 82 OVR card with 82 physical stats that is available for 2,900 coins on PS4 and 3,200 on Xbox One. An in-form Maguire should reach an OVR of 86 and possess frightening physical stats.

Cristiano Biraghi (OVR 75 – IF 82)

Italian left-back Cristiano Biraghi put in an exceptional performance as Fiorentina carried on their fine start to the season which sees them in third place after seven games. The 26-year-old capped a fine defensive display with a late goal to seal a 2-0 victory over Atalanta.

Biraghi’s in-form card should see an upgrade from 75 to 82 OVR. His 75 OVR card is available on the FUT transfer marker for 1,100 coins on PS4 and 1,300 on Xbox One.

Paul Arriola (OVR 72 – IF 80)

American winger Paul Arriola was in devastating form as DC United thumped Montreal Impact 5-0. The 23-year-old scored twice as DC United continue their push for a play-off place. Wayne Rooney was also on the scoresheet for the Washington based franchise.

Arriola should see an 80 OVR in-form card as a reward for his performance. His basic 72 card is available for 800 coins on PS4 and 2,900 coins on Xbox One.

Ever Banega (OVR 83 – IF 87)

Two goals for Argentine midfielder Ever Banega was enough for Sevilla to see off Eibar in La Liga and earn the midfielder the Man of the Match award. The goals were Banega’s first in the league this season following his double against Standard Liege in the Champions League.

In-form Banega will receive an OVR of 87, with his basic 83 card available for 1,900 coins on PS4 and 1,600 coins on Xbox One.

Mark Noble (OVR 76 – IF 82)

West Ham’s captain Mark Noble put in an inspirational performance against Manchester United at the Olympic Stadium. The Hammers academy graduate had more touches and passes than any other West Ham player, grabbed an assist and won Man of the Match as West Ham beat the Red Devils convincingly.

Noble’s basic 76 card is available for 750 coins on PS4 and 900 coins on Xbox One. The English midfielder should see his rating boosted to 82 on his in-form card.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (OVR 82 – IF 87)

Another midfield dynamo picking up the Man of the Match award, Gylfi Sigurdsson could have had a hat trick if he scored his penalty. The creative midfielder scored twice as Everton outclassed Fulham at Goodison Park leaving the Toffees in 11th place in the Premier League.

Iceland international Sigurdsson should see his OVR boosted to 87 after his double against Fulham. His current basic 82 card is available for 1,700 coins on PS4 and 2,000 on Xbox One.

Yussuf Poulsen (OVR 77 – IF 83)

Giant Danish forward Yussuf Poulsen put in a Man of the Match display as RB Leipzig held off a late Hoffenheim comeback to secure a 2-1 victory. Poulsen netted both in the win and nearly made it three but saw his shot hit the woodwork.

Poulsen’s in-form card is sure to be a favourite among FUT fans with his basic card already possessing 83 pace and 81 physical ratings. His 77 OVR card is available for 700 coins on both consoles and his in-form should be rated at 83.

Alfred Finnbogason (OVR 78 – IF 84)

Alfred Finnbogason registered a hat trick for club side Augsburg in his first appearance of the season following a tendon problem. Freiburg were the team on the receiving end of the Icelandic forwards unstoppable form as Augsburg ran out 4-1 winners.

Finnbogason is available for 500 coins on both PS4 and Xbox One. The hitman should see his rating boosted to 84 on his in-form card.

Mbwana Ally Samatta (OVR 73 – IF 80)

Two goals for Mbwana Ally Samatta helped KRC Genk to defeat Zulte-Waregem as they remain two points off leaders Club Brugge after nine matches. The goals take the Tanzanian forward to a tally of five in six matches in the league to go with his goal in Genk’s single Europa League match so far.

Pacey striker Samatta’s silver basic card is available for 650 coins on PS4 and 450 on Xbox One. His in-form card should see his OVR boosted to 80.
