These young left backs can transform your career mode save in FC 25.

Left back is traditionally the toughest spot on the field to find quality options as those with attacking potential often get pushed up the field to be wingers like Gareth Bale and Bukayo Saka.

As a result, snagging a top young left back early on in career mode can save you massive headaches later on.

To be considered a young left back, we are only looking at players aged 22 or under when FC 25's career mode kicks off. We are also only after players that are natural left backs. Centre backs who can moonlight on the left side are of no interest here.

Nuno Mendes

Mendes has been on best young left back lists for a long time but he's still only 22! The PSG left back is an elite player coming in at 83 OVR but with 89 Pace, 82 Dribbling, 76 Passing, and 78 Defending.

He's got the stamina to get up and down the flank all day, the speed to drive past on the overlap, and the passing to get involved in possession. Good luck prying him away from PSG though.

Destiny Udogie

Spurs have a good one here. The 21-year-old Italian offers a similar style of play to Mendes, just a touch worse. Udogie is an 82 OVR with 88 Pace, 80 Dribbling, 74 Passing, and 78 Defending.

He plays similarly to Mendes, with rapid speed and pretty balanced passing. He'll be easier to acquire than Mendes, but not by much.

Alejandro Balde

Balde burst onto the scene at Barcelona like so many other young stars in recent years. The 20-year-old left back is perhaps the best prospect at the position, but in FC 25 he's not quite on the level of Mendes.

Balde's 81 OVR is underpinned by his 91 Pace which is simply electric. The rest of his game is not as solid though, with just 78 Dribbling and 73 Passing. He's also got a poor 64 Physicality so could get bullied by players when trying to defend.

Ian Maatsen

Aston Villa's break into the Champions League could make it tough to pry Maatsen away, but the 79 OVR left back should be on your list of targets. He offers 86 Pace, 81 Dribbling, and 75 Passing to be a strong option going forward.

Without the ball though, Maatsen may struggle. His 72 Defending and 63 Physicality are less than ideal, but at just 22 he does have some development room still.

Tino Livramento

Newcastle's excellent young full back is next on our list. Livramento is another player who escaped Chelsea at an early age, making his name at Southampton before moving to Newcastle.

He enters FC 25 with a 78 OVR and 85 potential to be a very good option to snap up in career mode.
