THREE PHASES: eFootball won't be fully fleshed out until the winter

The confirmed teams so far are:

  • Barcelona
  • Bayern Munich
  • Juventus
  • Manchester United
  • Arsenal
  • Corinthinas
  • Flamengo
  • Sao Paulo
  • River Plate

Cross-gen matches will also be supported, but cross-platform will now arrive until November.

Platforms

eFootball will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Mobile - as it follows the likes of Fortnite and Apex Legends on being fully cross-platform, with Nintendo Switch the only major console missing.

Game Modes

At launch, it looks like only Local Matches and online friendlies will be available to play, as the game is slowly rolled out.

In the autumn (with 11 November the suspected release date), online leagues will commence, as well as the new team-building mode (formerly MyClub), as well as cross-play between Xbox, PlayStation and PC as well as the new match pass system so you can rank up and gain rewards.

We also know eFootball will supprt the use of Option Files on PlayStation and PC, but we don't know at what stage of release they can be uses.
