EA Sports FC Career Mode - Everything you need to know about the beloved game mode

The well-documented split between EA and FIFA has led to a lot of questions being asked by the community about what will happen to their beloved game mode - Career Mode.

Well, you'll be glad to know EA has confirmed that Career Mode will feature in EA Sports FC, but with a few differences.

So, find out everything you need to know about Career Mode in EA Sports FC below.

EA Sports FC Career Mode

We expect EA Sports FC to have a Manager Career Mode and a Player Career Mode, as we have seen in recent FIFA titles.

EA will hold the same license portfolio as in FIFA 23, which means you can play as one of the 350+ authentic football managers in Career Mode.

Upon selecting the manager of your choice, you can customize their outfit and decide on the club they’ll be in charge of.

You'll have the option of continuing to build a legacy at an authentic manager’s current club, pick a different club, or even create a new club for the manager.

Player Career mode gives you a chance to rise through the ranks of athletic stardom, starting as a youngster and elevating yourself to the very top of the game.

New Features

Now, whilst none have been officially confirmed so far, we expect EA to introduce a number of new Career Mode features for the launch of their new title.

We would like to see an option bought in where you can turn on real-world transfers, where players mirror moves they make in real life.

On top of this, we'd love to see EA change how free agents work at the start of a save.

Currently, you aren't given the chance to bring free agents to your club, as they are already assigned to another team at the start of your save.

FRESH FEATURES - What new features do you want to see in Career Mode?

These players should appear as free agents, allowing you and other clubs to battle for their signature.

EA could also integrate a modernised Chemistry system into Career Mode, as we have seen in Ultimate Team in FIFA 23.

The addition of some sort of academy training program that allows you to play with youth stars in-game would be a welcomed one.

Online Career Mode

The FIFA community has been calling for an Online Career Mode for several years now and their prayers have finally been answered, with the game mode confirmed for the first-ever EA Sports FC title.

We are in unprecedented times, so we can only speculate on how an online Career Mode could potentially work in EA Sports FC at this moment.

Some fans have said they would love to see EA integrate the game mode as a PvP-style game mode where various teams in a league are controlled and managed by other random players.

NEW LEVELS - Online Career Mode will add a whole new dynamic to the game

However, this seems a bit of a stretch. We believe there's a greater possibility we see a more social mode introduced, allowing you and your friends to play together in a private league.

This would involve inviting your friends to a particular league allowing each of them to occupy one club within the competition.

Whether you will be able to use custom clubs in Online Career Mode remains to be seen.

Some fans of the beloved mode think the introduction of an online version could prove disastrous for the fan-favourite sim.
