Dying Light 2 is finally almost here. You can play it for yourself on February 4th, mere weeks from now. Luckily, we now have footage of the game running on the last generation of hardware and they look pretty impressive. If you're thinking about upgrading, here's what you should know about the Dying Light 2 console generation versions compare.

Dying Light PS5 V PS4 Comparison

In the latest and final episode of Dying 2 Know, we got a few sizable trailers, some footage of the team celebrating the game and a console comparison. You can find out all about it in the Tweet below.

It's worth pointing out that this is an official video from the Dying Light 2 dev team so this likely won't look quite as good on your screen.

It's a cut-up trailer showcasing action, cutscenes and a little of the scenery. This is the footage the team want you to see.

This all being said, it looks great on the last generation of consoles. It looks smoother and a bit more vibrant on the PS5/Series X but this is still a very impressive game, regardless of where you play it

Should you buy a next gen console for Dying Light 2?

Although the visuals look great, the thing you will benefit most from with the newer consoles is their impressive SSD. It's estimated that Dying Light 2 will take you up to 500 hours to 100% complete. This time will be cut down substantially when we remove all the waiting.

It likely isn't worth spending all that money to play Dying Light 2 but there are so many games out this year that are made much better with this generation's improved storage, controllers and graphics. With the likes of Elden Ring, Horizon: Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 out over the next two months alone, there's plenty of reason to upgrade. You may struggle to actually get one though.
