With new mechanics and factions and a great open world to explore, Dying Light 2 is set to be a huge release. Recently, Xbox have went all in on their Game Pass service, buying huge publishers and pushing out tonnes of day one releases.
Needless to say, it's understandable why people think it may come to Game Pass. Here's what you should know.
Latest - Finally out this week
Dying Light 2 releases this Friday, February 4th. After a handful of major delays, it is finally almost here.
You can preload the game right now ahead of its official launch.
Is Dying Light 2 actually coming to Game Pass?
At the moment, there's nothing to say that Dying Light 2 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at all - we're inclined to say that it won't be available. We know Rainbow Six Extraction is out before and it's only just been announced, so there's technically still time, but we don't think Techland are making any sorts of deals with Microsoft at the moment and Dying Light 2 should have enough pulling power on its own to make it without Game Pass' support.
This is a bit of a never say never situation, though - it could appear at some point down the line but there's no telling for sure.
Looking at the relationship between Xbox and Techland is promising, though. Both Dead Island games have been added to Xbox Game Pass - however, the first Dying Light game is yet to make an appearance. It could go either way, really.
Dying Light 2 isn't coming out next week, though. It's going to be available on February 4th, 2022. So... There's still time for Xbox to make an announcement that brings Dying Light 2 to Game Pass.
The game itself is going to be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is going to be a Cloud version, which should help with the quality of it a little.
