A new red wine-inspired Air Jordan 1 Low colourway has been revealed, leaving many fans wondering if Nike has announced a release date yet.

While several of Jordan's upcoming releases are sticking to retro colour schemes, like the "Grape" Mids and the reimagined "Chicago" 2s, these Jordan 1s offer a new palette and somewhat more of an elegant design.

Not only that, but their low-top silhouette means they're lighter and, therefore, a strong contender to be one of the best sneakers for this summer.

That being said, here's everything we know about the upcoming Wine Red Jordan 1s so far...

When Is The Air Jordan 1 Low Wine Red Release Date?

Despite Nike revealing official photos of these sneakers, the brand is yet to disclose an exact release date.

According to reports though, these Jordan 1s are expected to arrive at some point in 2022, perhaps even in the coming weeks.

It's also unclear whether they will be released in full family sizing at this moment in time; however, more information will likely be announced soon, so make sure you stay tuned for future updates right here.

Air Jordan 1 Low Wine Red Design

As touched on, these Jordan Lows feature dark red tones reminiscent of red wine, thus giving these sneakers a somewhat more classy aesthetic.

The colour blocking and the scheme is actually not too dissimilar to the original "Bred" which is widely considered to be one of the best Jordan 1 colourways around.

However, the key difference here is the University Red tone has been replaced by the much darker Wine Red hue.

The rest of the sneakers come dressed in black leather, with the only exception being the black fabric tongues and the typical white Nike Air midsoles.

Jordan branding can then be found on the insoles and tongues, while the usual 'Wings' insignia is embroidered in black thread across the heels.

Underneath, you'll find Wine Red outsoles with the Nike logo placed in the centre, thus rounding off these Jordan's in the customary fashion.

Where To Buy The Air Jordan 1 Low Wine Red

We believe one of the first places you'll find a listing for these Wine Red low-tops will be at the Nike store under the new releases, Jordan, or basketball subsection.

We'd also recommend signing up for the push notifications as soon as the listing goes live on the SNKRS page or App to ensure you're completely prepared for their upcoming arrival.

You could also keep an eye on the resale market at StockX if your initial attempt at purchasing a pair is unsuccessful on release day.
