Nike has revealed that the classic Air Jordan 2 "Chicago" colourway is back in its original form over 35 years since its initial debut.
Their unveiling follows on from the reimagined "Chicago" 1s released in 2022, which debuted a pre-aged look to replicate what an original pair of "Chicagos" could look like today.
While the "Chicago" 2s haven't gone through quite the same ageing process, there are still plenty of similarities between them and a classic pair from 1986.

Air Jordan 2 Chicago release date
Details surrounding the release of the "Chicago" 2s have gone through several twists and turns since the shoes were first rumoured.
Originally, it was reported that the sneakers would launch at some point during the holiday season. This was later amended to 22 October 2022.
However, Nike has now confirmed via its SNKRS launch page that the "Chicago" 2s are out now as of 30 December 2022 to round off the year.
This aligns with the originally reported holiday season drop and means they're available now if you're interested in a pair.

Air Jordan 2 Chicago design
The original Air Jordan 2 "Chicago" is up there as one of the best Jordan 2 colourways of all time, so news of Jordan producing a version that visually lines up with the original, even down to the toebox, will no doubt be incredibly exciting for sneaker fans.
As their name suggests, the sneakers come dressed in Chicago Bulls' colours, with black and Varsity Red providing contrasting accents to the predominately white leather uppers.
Underfoot you'll find black midsoles to match the laces, whilst the outsoles combine white rubber at the front with hints of red towards the back.
In terms of branding, you get the usual Jordan 'Wings' insignias across the tongues, while the heels include Nike in red on top of a black base layer.
Overall, it's a pretty accurate remake of an all-time classic that celebrates the 35 years since the Jordan 2s debut. With the same specs and iconic faux lizard skin details, there's plenty to like about these retro remakes.
Air Jordan 2 Chicago price
The "Chicago" 2s are listed for $200 in adult sizes, although smaller and subsequently cheaper kid's sizes are also available.
Big Kids' "Chicagos" cost $140, Little Kids' cost $85, and there are even Toddler-sized kicks available which currently retail for $65.
