Yeezy Day 2022 Is Now LIVE: Here's What We Could Expect

One of the biggest events in the sneaker calendar is back as adidas Originals recently took to Instagram to confirm the return of Yeezy Day for 2022.

First started in 2019, Yeezy Day gives sneaker fans a second chance to pick up some of the most popular and best Yeezy drops over the course of the brand's history.

For instance, last year's event saw the return of the incredibly popular OG 700 "Wave Runner", which first released in 2017 and subsequently sold out in seconds upon its return.

While Yeezy Day is primarily about restocked sneakers, adidas has also been known to release new colourways and silhouettes as part of the celebration, such as the debut of the "Cream Clay" Foam RNNRs last year.

That being said, we're focusing on everything we know so far about the 2022 Yeezy Day event in this article. So, with that in mind, let's get into it...

When Is Yeezy Day?

As mentioned, adidas Originals has confirmed that Yeezy Day is currently underway as of the 2 August 2022 in North America, and will continue through until 3 August for customers in Europe, Korea, Japan, and China.

Since this will be the first time loyal Ye fans in Korea and Japan will be included in this year's sneaker holiday, 2022 looks like it might be the largest in the event's history.

Potential Yeezy Day Droplist

Although there are typically a ton of rumours surrounding what sneakers could be restocked and released on Yeezy Day, an official droplist isn't usually made available as adidas and the artist formerly known as Kanye West tend to throw in a few surprises over the course of the two-day event.

That being said, here are some of the Yeezys we're hoping to see drop as part of this year's Yeezy Day...

While most of the droplist remains a mystery, this is one release we know that's definitely taking place as the CONFIRMED app officially announced the "Utility Black" 450s arrival on 2 August.

The original adidas Yeezy colourway is rumoured to be making its return for the first time since 2015. If they were to return, we'd expect them to sell out fast, so make sure you've got the CONFIRMED app downloaded for a chance to secure your own pair.

First released in 2017, the "Wave Runner" 700 is one of the most restocked Yeezys in the brand's history, so there's a chance we could see these sneakers reissued once again for this year's Yeezy Day.

The final Yeezys we're hoping to see return as part of the fictional holiday are the "Analog" 700s from 2019. Keep an eye out for their potential arrival along with a whole host of new and restocked sneakers this Yeezy Day.

Where To Take Part In Yeezy Day

As with most Yeezy drops, all the new and restocked sneakers are expected to launch via the adidas CONFIRMED app and the YEEZY SUPPLY website, Ye's official e-commerce platform.

Securing some of the most highly sought-after Yeezys through the official retailers may prove difficult as the sneakers tend to sell out fast.

As an alternative, we'd recommend checking out the new and re-released Yeezys at StockX, a secondhand marketplace, if a particular pair you're after sells out by the time you get to them.
