Below, we've got everything you need to know about the PS Plus May 2021 games.

LATEST - PS Plus May 2021 Announcement

The leak was right! Wreckfest, Battlefield V and Stranded Deep are your May 2021 PS Plus games!

" Join forces with players worldwide as you plunge yourself into the dark heart of battle, crunch metal and burn rubber on a carnage-filled racetrack against friends or strip back to the bare essentials and attempt to survive a treacherous paradise solo."

All three titles will be available from May 4th at 00:01 Local Time until May 31st at 23:59. Be sure to grab last month's games before they're gone, too!

You can check out more on the PlayStation Blog below:

Please make sure you're aware that Wreckfest is only available on PS5 consoles and the PS4 version of Wreckfest isn't included with May 2021's PS Plus line-up. You can still add the game to your library, even without a PS5, though.

Reveal Coming Later Today

Today is the day, the PS Plus May 2021 lineup should be revealed later today.

The May 2021 PS Plus announcement is due to be made by PlayStation on April 28 at 11:30 EST / 16:30 BST.

The monthly lineup is almost always revealed on a Wednesday afternoon, although it's possible that the upcoming State of Play changes that.

A Ratchet & Clank centric event is due to take place on Thursday, so there's a small chance that the PS Plus announcement is delayed until then.

PS4 Titles Leaked?

Just as is the case every month, a site is claiming that they've got leaks of the next set of PS Plus games.

While they don't know what the PS5 game will be for the month, areajugones is claiming that the following titles will be free with PS Plus in May 2021.

  • Battlefield V
  • Stranded Deep

We haven't been able to back up these claims, but it's worth keeping an eye out for these titles as we get closer to the line-up's reveal.

Battlefield 6 is rumoured to be revealed this week sometime, although that's also unconfirmed.

If that is true, though, it would make this month a good time to push a Battlefield game with PS Plus.

RUMOUR: Terminator Resistance Is Coming

Reef Entertainment has been working on a next-gen "Enhanced" version of their Terminator title for a while now and it's due to release on April 30th. Although it looks like the PC and Xbox Series X|S versions of this are pretty on schedule, there are reports that Sony has delayed the PS5 version by a couple of days.

The reasoning behind this is nothing sinister, just to perform some final checks, but could this be a ploy to offer up the title as the PS5 PS Plus title for May 2021?

The timings obviously line up well and we have had a next-gen release as a PS5 title for PS Plus before. Control Ultimate Edition was well-received by fans, too. We're not sure Terminator Resistance has that initial support, given its rocky launch, but this could be the perfect opportunity to win over fans through an upgraded re-release in a similar way Marvel's Avengers tackled their next-gen launch.

Horizon Zero Dawn Is Free

Players can grab Horizon Zero Dawn for free until May 14th as part of Sony's Play At Home initiative.

And the best part is, no PS Plus membership is needed, so this is accessible to everyone.

But, since you're on this article you probably have PS Plus already so keep reading to check out what games will be available in May 2021.

PS Plus Video Streaming Service

PS Plus has now introduced a video streaming service, but it's only being tested in Poland for now.

It gives users access to movies and TV shows from Sony Pictures, more added every month!

Maybe we'll hear more about it for the rest of the world when the May 2021 lineup of games is revealed.

Free Games Predictions & Leaks

Unusually, there's a lack of solid leaks this month which means everything we say below is guesswork until we get closer to the announcement.

With the May 2021 PS Plus games being released on May 4th, we're inclined to suggest a Star Wars title. Both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Squadrons are on Xbox Game Pass via EA Play, so it wouldn't be outrageous to think that they would appear in the May 2021 PS Plus line up.

ALL WINGS - Do you think Squadrons would make a good addition to PS Plus?

With that being said, we don't think two Star Wars games will be popular with the gaming community as a whole and we could list countless other titles below.

Each month there's always at least two PS4 titles and one PS5 game. We don't think this will change, but we're not sure what the PS5 title could be. We don't think it'll be a new one, what with just getting Oddworld: Soulstorm last month.

With this in mind, we're inclined to suggest Overcooked! All You Can Eat, Monster Truck Championship, and Temtem as candidates for that spot next month!

Confirmed Games

As you might imagine, we don't have any confirmed games to talk about just yet. Last month, PS Plus gave us Zombie Army 4: Dead War and Days Gone on top of Oddworld: Soulstorm.

HAPPY? - Did you think Days Gone was a good PS Plus title?

That's a lot of zombie content, right? We're not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but it leads us to believe that we'll be seeing a slightly more alive selection of games this time around.

Still, we will just have to wait for the official word from PlayStation before we can confirm anything.
