Latest PlayStation news & PS5 Console Stock Update for May 7th

Are you looking for the latest PS5 news today? Maybe a stock update, too? We've got both of those things and more! Well, we say more... We just have the latest PlayStation news.

Either way, there's a lot going on and you're going to want to take a read below.

PS5 Console Stock Update

If you're still struggling to get your hands on a PS5 console today, we're afraid to say that you might not have much luck over the weekend.

That being said, you might be able to have better luck at the start of next week! Finally some good news, right?

According to insiders, Argos, GAME, and John Lewis are all getting stock/due to get stock by the start of next week. This means we could see stock drops as early as next week.

This, as you might imagine, isn't a guarantee. PS5's are going to be in high demand. However, it should make things a bit easier if you're still waiting to get your hands on one of the new consoles.

There is also still CEX and auction sites like eBay. These might be a bit pricier, though, so be careful what you're paying for if you go down this route.

Resident Evil Village Out Now

In other news, Capcom's new Resident Evil title is out now and we can finally experience Lady Dimitrescu's horrors for ourselves!

Resident Evil Village follows on Ethan Winters' story from Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and features as many scares and tense moments as the last. Early reviews have praised the game for its intensity and wonderful use of the gothic horror setting.

Judgement Sequel Announced

It looks like Takayuki Yagami's story isn't over just yet! Lost Judgement, a sequel to the "hit legal thriller Judgement", has just been announced and given a September 24th release date!

You can check out the brand new announcement trailer below:

Lost Judgement will release on both current-gen and next-gen consoles, too. This means it'll be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Yokohama is looking nice this time of year, right?

New FFVII Remake Intergrade Trailer

The final trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is here, finally. The game itself is due to release as a time-limited PlayStation 5 exclusive on June 10th and we're finally getting a proper look at the new Yuffie Episode.

We also get a glimpse of the new Fort Condor minigame, which looks like a lot of fun. You can check out the trailer below:

Following the trailer reveal, we also got a little bit of news regarding Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2. Apparently, development is going well, which is nice.

We also know that "in the sequel, the cloud is running in the wilderness", which is exciting. We still don't have a release date just yet, though.

New Warzone Update

On top of all this, Raven Software has just dropped another Title Update for Warzone that includes another batch of Weapon Balancing Changes for one Modern Warfare weapon and a couple of Black Ops Cold War Weapons.

Nerfed Weapons

  • Assault Rifle Kilo - CR-56 AMAX
  • Assault Rifle Golf - FARA 83
  • Shotgun Charlie - Streetsweeper

The AMAX change is a small damage decrease and it will only affect Warzone, not Modern Warfare. The FARA's base ADS Move Speed has been decreased by 7% and the Streetsweeper has had an increase in Base Hip Fire Spread and Recoil.

Buffed Weapons

  • Submachine Gun Echo - Bullfrog
  • Submachine Gun Hotel - PPSh-41

On the flip side, both the Bullfrog and the PPSh-41 have had a Damage Range increase and the Bullfrog's Sprint Out Speed is up 13%! It has had a two-point damage reduction though, so that's something.

It's important to note that these changes will only apply to Call of Duty Warzone and won't be reflected in Black Ops Cold War.
