New Mario + Rabbids Game Leaked Ahead of Nintendo Direct


Ahead of their E3 2021 Nintendo Direct, a new title in the Mario + Rabbids series has been leaked. If that isn't strange enough, how about the fact that the source is... Nintendo themselves!

We'll be keeping an eye out for any more slips ups from the Japanese powerhouse over the coming days. Given how closely guarded their games are, you have to wonder if this wasn't an intentional slip-up.

It's not often Mario makes an appearance in a brand new game. Especially when mixing with another popular franchise. So Nintendo may be disappointed in themselves for allowing this information to get out early.

Thanks to a store page on the official Nintendo website, we can see the listing for the game. It's titled Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The artwork is amazing and resembles something like the posters for 80's sci-fi movies.

What We Know About Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope

As you can imagine with the leak happening so recently, we don't know a huge about about the game. We can, however, see that it have a release window of 2022. More could be revealed around specific dates during the Nintendo Direct for E3 2021.

We can also see from the artwork that many popular characters appear to be returning. This includes Luigi, Princess Peach and Rabbid Peach.

There does appear to be a new character advertised though. A rather sinister looking Rabbid dressed in green, purple and black. Could this be a cross between Bowser and the Rabbids? Or is this character an edgy ally.

Is Mario + Rabbids A Switch Pro Exclusive?

The long rumoured Switch Pro could be getting it's big reveal at E3 2021. Unfortunately, while signs of its existence have been ever present, the console itself is yet to show up. For now, it's safe to assume this new title will be playable on all Nintendo Switch consoles.
