NBA 2K22 is just around the corner, and 2K have revealed the new gameplay features for both current and next gen!
While many things look exciting, current gen gamers will have to suffer another year without some great features like The City and MyNBA, as they'll be next gen exclusive in NBA 2K22.
The City will be a next gen exclusive
NBA 2K21 next gen debuted The City, a massive expansion of The Neighborhood that included some awesome new locations to visit, NPCs to speak with, Affiliations to fight for, and plenty more.
2K have just revealed that The City will unfortunately be remaining a next gen exclusive feature in NBA 2K22, and instead, current gen gamers will be back in The Neighborhood.
The current gen Neighborhood in NBA 2K22 will take place on a cruise ship (likely named the 2K Cruise) instead, where next gen players will be able to buy housing in The City as they develop their MyCAREER progress.
This is just one of the many new improvements to The City that NBA 2K22 players on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch won't be able to see.

MyLEAGUE and MyGM remain current gen features
MyNBA has been a blessing combining the features of MyLEAGUE and MyGM in NBA 2K21 next gen.
MyNBA cleans up many of the faults of these awesome game modes by allowing players to toggle features from each as they want to.
This means players can keep the engaging, more consequential features from MyGM while being able to circumvent its many massive flaws (constant requests to make trades, lack of fast progress, poor forced dialogue and more).
For NBA 2K22 current gen, however, players will still have the MyGM and MyLEAGUE split, as MyNBA will remain next gen exclusive in NBA 2K22.
