NBA 2K20 is here and fans everywhere are getting the chance to hit the court weeks before the regular season starts.

Players get the chance to live out their dreams and take their favorite team to a Championship, but to do so you will need talent at one vital position.

Point guard is one of the most important position in today’s NBA. They control the pace of the game and are the players who constantly have the ball in their hands. A good point guard will dictate how a game goes and can turn your offense into a scoring machine.

Since the NBA’s transition to a guard dominant league, we have seen team’s load up on the point guard role to ensure they have solid options to content with any side. With younth being a factor in every sport, we take a look at the best point guards under the age of 25 in NBA 2K20.

D’Angelo Russell, Golden State Warriors – 87 OVR

Age: 23

One of the best point guards in the entire NBA is now entering the prime of his career at the young age of 23. Russell was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2015 with the second overall pick, for Russell it was the wrong place at the wrong time and he eventually landed on his feet in Brooklyn.

Touted for his lethal step-back jump shot along with deadly handles that earn the praise of fans and experts around the world, Russell now joins the all-mighty Golden State Warriors for this season. Teamed up with accomplished players he will be seeking his first NBA title.

De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings – 86 OVR

Age: 21

Fox has been a sensation ever since coming into the NBA during the 2017 NBA Draft. One of the fastest players in today’s NBA, Fox has the ability to change the pace of the game with the blink of an eye.

Being tasked with leading the young Kings this year, they will look to finally break into the playoffs.

Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks – 85 OVR

Age: 20

Last season’s Rookie of The Year runner-up had a stellar second half of the 2018/19 campaign. Dubbed “Ice Trae” for his clutch shots down the stretch for the Hawks.  

Sophomore year’s for NBA players are notorious for being one of the weaker seasons for many NBA player, only time will tell if this bug bites Trae too.

Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets – 84 OVR

Age: 22

The former Kentucky star is entering his third NBA season for the Denver Nuggets and has been influential to their recent success that has surprised many NBA fans. 

Murray has always had a consistent jump and 2K has acknowledged this with a 86 rating at the beginning of the game.

Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors – 79 OVR

Age: 25

VaVleet was a crucial part of the Raptors 2019 run at the NBA title.

In the final games, he managed to outscore the best shooter of all time Steph Curry and was in discussion for NBA Finals MVP.

Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies – 79 OVR

Age: 20

The second overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft is expected to be the starting point guard for the rebuilding Grizzlies. With a young core set in stone already, Morant may be the final piece for this rebuild. 

Lonzo Ball, New Orleans Pelicans – 79 OVR

Age: 21

The blockbuster trade of the summer saw much of the Lakers young core pack their bags and head to NOLA. Lonzo was one of them and the young point guard has had an up and down career thus far but, with a fresh start this year he may just turn into the star many pegged him to be may be his breaking out party.
