Next-Gen Metro Exodus Performance Details Revealed

It is time to suit-up, Comrade! A Next-Gen Metro Exodus announcement is finally here and it details all the exciting things that are coming to Artyom's third adventure.

Earlier today, Deep Silver updated fans of the news via the Metro Twitter Account which promised to give us information about the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions of the game.

It did not disappoint. Below, we've got everything you need to know about Metro Exodus on Next-Gen consoles.


Next-Gen Improvements

Primarily, Metro Exodus is getting Ray Tracing. They even shared an exciting new screenshot which you can see below:

RAY TRACING - Metro Exodus is going to look SO good

For a game that is so reliant on lighting, this is a huge deal and Deep Silver promise to make the most out of the technology available.

According to their post, every single light source in Metro Exodus is going to be fully ray-traced!


In addition to this, 4K textures are coming and the game will reportedly run smoothly at 60FPS throughout!

For a game like Metro, which always felt on the clunkier side of FPS titles, this is a huge step in the right direction and should finally give the applauded narrative the attention it deserves.

This version boasts similar improvements, but with key differences that the superior technology affords the PC version of the game.
