Riders Republic is finally here. Set in a huge world with tonnes of different races and events, you may be wondering if you can bring across your saves to new devices. Here's what you should know about it if Riders Republic is cross platform.
Is Riders Republic Cross Platform?
To put it simply, Riders Republic is Cross Platform. If you buy it on Xbox One, you automatically get upgraded to the Series X version. If you buy it on PS4, the PS5 upgrade comes as part of the package. This is part of an initiative Ubisoft have been committed to since the launch of Assassin's Creed Valhalla last year.
Unfortunately, this won't work between Xbox, PlayStation and PC but this is nothing new. If you want it on a new family of consoles, you will have to buy it again.
How does Cross Progression work?
You can move over your data via Ubisoft Connect. As long as both devices use the same Ubisoft account, you can keep all your hard work. Unfortunately, Republic Coins, the in-game premium currency does not follow over so make sure to spend it before you move your save file.
If you happen to have both consoles, you can use your save file on both at the same time. If you just want more places to play the game, you don't have to worry too much about your data.
Is there Crossplay?
Fortunately, Riders Republic has fully-fledged crossplay. No matter where you play the game, you can play with your friends online. That being said, there are a few major differences.
If you're playing on the previous generation, some races won't be quite as big and will have less players. Being a limitation of the hardware, there's not really any way of fixing this. That being said, there are tonnes of ways you can play with your friends, regardless of platform choice.
