Diablo 2: Resurrected Open Beta starts this weekend!


Diablo 2: Resurrected is heading into its last beta period before release and better yet, it's open to anyone who wants to join in!

Here's everything you need to know about the Diablo 2 Open Beta weekend including release time, playable classes and pre-load!

Diablo 2: Resurrected Open Beta Dates

You can access the Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta weekend when it begins on Friday, 20 August. It will end on Monday, 23 August. You can play the beta when it unlocks at 18:00 BST / 13:00 EST / 10:00 PST.

Diablo 2: Resurrected will fully release on Thursday, 23 September provided there are no last-minute delays following these beta phases. It is a digital-only release and you can pre-order now on all available platforms.

Will there be pre-load available on the Diablo 2 Beta?

You can pre-load the Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta right now! When opening Battle.Net on PC, you will need to changet the version of the game from 'Diablo 2: Resurrcted' to 'Beta'

This will allow you to initiate the download and you can have everything installed before the beta goes live. Then all you need to do when the beta is live is hit 'Play'.

Which Classes are playable in the Diablo 2 Open Beta?

The Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta will have five playable classes in total for you to try out, adding two more to the previous beta and alpha tests. The classes available are;

  • Druid
  • Paladin
  • Sorceress
  • Barbarian
  • Amazon

How much of Diablo 2 is playable in the Open Beta?

The Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta will consist of the opening two Acts of the game. If you played in the early access beta but didn't complete all of the content on offer, your progress will carry over into the open beta before being wiped before release.

There are no plans to expand upon the content available in the open beta as Blizzard has stated the game is simply being polished at the moment and they don't want to make too much available during a simple beta test.
