FM22 Best Goalkeepers: The world class stoppers you can sign in this year's game

Goals win you games, but clean sheets win you championships - so make sure you have a reliable 'keeper in net on Football Manager 2022.

Manuel Neuer (CA 178 - PA 193)

NO GO - Manuel Neuer is not for sale at the start of FM22

Age: 35

Club: Bayern Munich

Value: Not for Sale

Wage: £296,000 per week

Aged 35, there's just enough life left in the tank for Bayern legend Manuel Neuer, but we'd be surprised if you manage to dislodge the World Cup winner from the Allianz Arena.

His contract is up next season so he may not be too expensive, but we expect the German to finish his career with the club.

Jan Oblak (CA 176 - PA 178)

SUPER JAN - Oblak has been the world's most consistent goalkeeper over the last five years

Age: 28

Club: A. Madrid

Value: £92-138 million

Wage: £253,000 per week

It is surprising to not see Jan Oblak on top spot this year, after a title-winning campaign with Atletico Madrid.

In the peak of his power and on hefty wages, it may take an astronomic bid to take the Slovenian to your club,

Thibaut Courtois (CA 175 - PA 181)

ONE STEP FURTHER - Courtois needs European or international success to cap off his career

Age: 29

Club: R. Madrid

Value: £77-115 million

Wage: £253,000 per week

Thibaut Courtois has been one of Real Madrid's most consistent performers in recent years, but the big Belgian is running out of time to reach his potential.

The former Chelsea man has won league titles in both England and Spain, but is still missing a European crown from his CV.

Alisson (CA 174 - PA 180)

FOX IN THE BOX - Alisson became the first goalkeeper to score a Premier League goal in close to eight years

Age: 28

Club: Liverpool

Value: £183-220 million

Wage: £190,000 per week

The Brazil and Liverpool no.1 has a superb all-round game in goal, and even managed to notch at the other end last season.

With a slightly lower wage packet than other goalkeepers, he may seem the one to approach - but the shot-stopper is signed with the Reds until 2027 - and has a HUGE valuation.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (CA 174 - PA 183)

MAKING A MARC - Ter Stegen has just 26 Germany caps thanks to Manuel Neuer

Age: 29

Club: Barcelona

Value: £146-177 million

Wage: £141,000 per week

Barcelona may not be as good as they once were but they still have a world class goalkeeper at the back.

Another well-rounded goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen is adept with his feet and is reliable in net.

Ederson (CA 170 - PA 180)

BALLER - It's no suprise to see a perfect score for Ederson's Kicking stat

Age: 27

Club: Manchester City

Value: £196-216 million

Wage: £180,000 per week

Is there a better goalkeeper to start your team's counter-attack than Ederson?

There are very few goalies in the world who can play in a Pep Guardiola team, and you wan't to play a similar brand of football, you can't look anywhere else.

Gianluigi Donnarumma (CA 161 - PA 167)

SPOT KICK DON - Donnarumma has won all five of his penalty shootouts in his career

Age: 22

Club: Paris Saint-Germain

Value: £85-102 million

Wage: £213,000 per week

Despite having an incredible Euro 2020, Gianluigi Donnarumma sees his CA rise by just one for FM22.

An FM classic signing in years gone by (where he was one of THE wonderkids to sign) - Donnarumma's move to PSG will make him much trickier to get hold of.

Keylor Navas (CA 161 - PA 167)

WHERE NEXT? - Keylor Navas is expected to leave Paris in the next 12 months

Age: 34

Club: Paris Saint-Germain

Value: Not for Sale

Wage: £196,000 per week

Due to the arrival of Donnarumma, Keylor Navas is perhaps the goalkeeper to go for on this list... but the "Not for Sale" tag on our save makes little sense.

The Costa Rican is still firmly among the world's best, and despite the competition this term - has played over half of PSG's fixtures so far.

Edouard Mendy (CA 161 - PA 161)

GOLDEN GLOVE - Mendy kept nine clean sheets in his debut Champions League season

Age: 29

Club: Chelsea

Value: £132-169 million

Wage: £50,000 per week

On way, way cheaper wages than the rest - Edouard Mendy could be snatched away from Chelsea, but do so before they can offer him new terms.

The Senegalese is the favourite to claim to Yashin Trophy at this year's Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Samir Handanovic (CA 158 - PA 164)

GIVE HIM A HAND - Inter skipper Handanovic has been with the club since 2012

Age: 37

Club: Inter Milan

Value: £8.4-12.5 million

Wage: £97,000 per week

Aged 37 and with his contract up at the end of the season, it looks like it could be end of the road for the Inter Milan legend who has played over 400 games for the club.

You may be able to sign him on the cheap, but you will likely get three seasons tops out of him, and be back on the hunt for a new keeper very soon.
