Release Date

We are yet to see an official release date, but we always have a rough idea of when the game will arrive.

FIFA 22 was fully launched on Friday, 1 October 2021, so if EA follows the same trend, then Friday, 30 September 2022 could be our FIFA 23 release date.

As the game goes live before that (early access/Web App) we will likely see the new player ratings revealed in the month leading up to release.

Watch out for the return of the 'Ratings Collective' as they will no doubt be sharing their work on social media as the hype towards the launch builds.

LETHAL LEWA - Could we see the Pole make 93 overall in FIFA 23?

Robert Lewandowski has got his wish and joined Barcelona as they look to challenge for the La Liga title.

The lethal marksman could also see himself as the highest-rated player in FIFA 23, with the potential that his rating may go to 93 OVR.

INCREDIBLE KARIM - Benzema is set for a huge boost in FIFA 23

Karim Benzema should get a huge rating boost following an exceptional season with Real Madrid, seeing his card rise from an 89 OVR to a 91 OVR.

The French striker is in with a great shout of winning the Ballon d'Or, and we could even see his rating climb to a 92 OVR, which would potentially make him the best-rated player in the game.

MVP - Courtois came up big in the Champions League Final

Thibaut Courtois is a real unsung hero in the top goalkeeper debate, but he proved last season that he's certainly one of the best in the world.

Coming up big when it mattered most, the Belgian shot-stopper could be returning to a 90 OVR for the first time since FIFA 19.

FALLEN GIANT - Oblak will see his rating plummet in FIFA 23

Jan Oblak carried a massive 91 OVR into FIFA 22, but that has dropped throughout the season in rating updates.

He now sits at 89 OVR and we think that will continue into FIFA 23.

NOT QUITE ELITE - Casemiro won't find his way into the 90s club - again!

Casemiro's rating has been lingering in the high 80s for the past few titles, but we still don't think he will break into the 90s club.

He is one of the most solid CDMs around, and another 89 OVR will likely come his way.

SAFE HANDS - ter Stegen will still be top-class despite a downgrade

German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was one of FIFA 22's top goalkeepers with a 90 OVR, but he is sure to be in for a downgrade.

Barcelona's number one is currently rated 88 OVR in FIFA 22's latest squad update, and that is what we think he will be rated in FIFA 23.

LIKE A FINE WINE - Modric is getting better with age

Luka Modric is an absolute machine, still improving even as he draws closer to his 37th birthday.

Sure, we don't think his rating will hit the heights of 91 OVR as it did in FIFA 19, but a slight improvement should come his way from FIFA 22, with an 88 OVR card.

UP FOR DISCUSSION - Kroos' rating is a hard one to predict

This is a tough one to call, and we could be totally wrong, but it looks as though Toni Kroos will carry his 88 OVR rating into FIFA 23.

Saying that we wouldn't be surprised to see it drop to as low as 86 OVR, but only time will tell!

ALL ACTION - de Jong's pace and technical ability makes him a FUT favourite

Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong is strongly linked to a move to Manchester United, but while he remains a Barca player he will still be one of the best in La Liga.

The 25-year-old boasts all the attributes of a quality box-to-box midfielder and should be hugely popular early on in the FUT 23 cycle, keeping his 87 OVR.

REINFORCEMENTS REQUIRED - Rudiger will be a beast in FIFA 23

One of Real Madrid's new signings, Antonio Rudiger will bring real power to the centre of their defence.

His stats have shot up since the start of FIFA 22, starting out as an 83 OVR, he will join Madrid with an 86 OVR rating!
