Karim Benzema (OVR 91)
Karim Benzema has got a huge rating boost following an exceptional season with Real Madrid, seeing his card rise from an 89 OVR to a 91 OVR.
The French striker is in with a great shout of winning the Ballon d'Or, and is the joint best-rated player in the game.
Robert Lewandowski (OVR 91)
Robert Lewandowski has got his wish and joined Barcelona as they look to challenge for the La Liga title.
The lethal marksman saw a strange downgrade to his rating but is still one of the joint-best cards in the game.
Thibaut Courtois (OVR 90)
Thibaut Courtois is a real unsung hero in the top goalkeeper debate, but he proved last season that he's certainly one of the best in the world.
Coming up big when it mattered most, the Belgian shot-stopper returns to a 90 OVR for the first time since FIFA 19.
Jan Oblak (OVR 89)
Jan Oblak carried a massive 91 OVR into FIFA 22, but that dropped throughout the season in rating updates.
He finished with an 89 OVR and will start off FIFA 23 with that.
Toni Kroos (OVR 88)
Toni Kroos survives another year and will carry his 88 OVR rating into FIFA 23.
There is no doubt that he is a brilliant player, but we were surprised to see him maintain such a high overall.
Luka Modric (OVR 88)
Luka Modric is an absolute machine, still improving even now he is 37!
Sure, his rating doesn't hit the heights of 91 OVR as it did in FIFA 19, but a slight improvement has come his way from FIFA 22, with an 88 OVR card.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen (OVR 88)
German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was one of FIFA 22's top goalkeepers with a 90 OVR, but got downgraded throughout the season.
Barcelona's number one ended with an 88 OVR in FIFA 22's latest squad update, and that is how he begins FIFA 23.
Antonio Rudiger (OVR 87)
One of Real Madrid's new signings, Antonio Rudiger will bring real power to the centre of their defence.
His stats have shot up since the start of FIFA 22, where he started out as an 83 OVR, and he is now rated 87 OVR in FIFA 23.
Frenkie de Jong (OVR 87)
Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong was strongly linked to a move to Manchester United, but while he remains a Barca player he will still be one of the best in La Liga.
The 25-year-old boasts all the attributes of a quality box-to-box midfielder and should be hugely popular early on in the FUT 23 cycle, keeping his 87 OVR.
Vinicius Jr. (OVR 86)
A huge and well-deserved upgrade has come Vinicius' way in FIFA 23, with an 86 OVR making him not just one of the most exciting young players around, but one of THE most exciting players.
Get ready for his card to tear up Ultimate Team.
