Messi led the FIFA 21 ratings with a 93 OVR, but it looks like he could be under threat this year from Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski!
Check out the official reveal trailer below, along with who we think will be the highest-rated players in FIFA 22.
Latest News - Not cutting it
EA looks like they are being tough on the rating front this season!
According to FUTZone on Twitter, several high-profile players will receive "significant downgrades" in the new game.
Eden Hazard's move to Real Madrid is yet to prove fruitful for either party, so it would be no surprise to see his rating drop further.
However, FUT 21 beast Anthony Martial's potential downgrade could mean we look for a new cheap striker to start FIFA 22 Ultimate Team with!

How will the Chelsea players' ratings look fresh off the back of winning the Champions League?
It was a rollercoaster of a season for the Blues, ending with them crowned as Europe's top team.
We expect N'Golo Kante to receive an upgrade, but who else will be their big movers?
Take a look at our FIFA 22 Chelsea ratings prediction.
Take a look at who we think will be the top-rated players on FIFA 22.
Lionel Messi (OVR 93)
Surely Messi won’t receive another downgrade on FIFA 22.
Having dropped from 94 to 93 this season, we think Messi will remain the top player on the game as he is producing more than one goal involvement per game.
Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 92)
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in fine goal-scoring form in Serie A this season, so we can’t see his ratings going down.
A 92 OVR seems fair for a Ronaldo who is not quite at the peak of his powers, but still better than almost everybody else.
Robert Lewandowski (OVR 92)
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski deserves recognition for his outrageous goal record by being ranked alongside Messi and Ronaldo.
Lewandowski is arguably the best player in the world right now and that should be recognised on FIFA 22.
Lionel Messi was the highest-rated player at the beginning of Ultimate Team with his basic card 93 OVR, closely followed by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pele’s Icon moments card currently has the highest rating of all the cards as the only player with a 99 OVR, although with Team of the Season (TOTS) to come that could change.
Of the current generation of players, Messi and Ronaldo are joined by Robert Lewandowski with a 98-rated Team of the Year (TOTY) card.
We expect more of the same next year, but we may see some changes among the top players on the game.
The ratings change more frequently on Career Mode with regular updates, but they will generally start with the same as Ultimate Team.
We are more interested in the player potential though, and we think goal machines Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland will boast the best on FIFA 22 Career Mode.
Mbappe boasts a 95 potential on FIFA 21 Career Mode, with Haaland’s slightly lower on 93. This gap will be bridged on FIFA 22 if the Norwegian continues his goal-scoring exploits.
As far as FIFA 22 wonderkids go, you can’t look much further than Barcelona teenagers Pedri and Ansu Fati for the stars of the future.
Ahead of the new game, we have taken a look at which players will see a change to their ratings.
We have put together a list of ten stars who need an upgrade after enjoying a fantastic season with their clubs.
It is not all good news though.
We have also compiled a list of ten players who will be downgraded, and it is bad news for Liverpool fans.
As we look ahead to FIFA 22, we are starting to predict who will be the top-rated players in each of the five major leagues.
There are some familiar names at the top of these lists, and there will certainly be some changes made to ratings too!
