The Ratings Collective has done its job for another year after bombarding us with the FIFA 22 Ratings.
With the full game out now, player potentials in Career Mode have also been confirmed, so take a look at all the latest FIFA 22 Ratings news below.
FIFA 22 Release Date
FIFA 22 was released on Friday, 1 October 2021.
Early Access was available from Monday, 27 September - with the EA Play Trial going live on Wednesday, 22 September.
Top 22
The top players in FIFA 22 have been shown off for the first time, with Lionel Messi once again coming out on top.
Cristiano Ronaldo has not come in second place though, beaten to the spot by Bayern Munich's goal machine Robert Lewandowski.
Kylian Mbappe had already revealed his upgrade, but big boosts for Harry Kane, N'Golo Kante, and Gianluigi Donnarumma have also arrived.
Elsewhere, Liverpool trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Virgil van Dijk have all dropped down to 89 OVR.
Change at the top
There is change among the best players in the game ahead of next season.
Lionel Messi (OVR 93)
Messi has kept his spot as the best player on FIFA 22.
Having dropped from 94 to 93 in FIFA 21, Messi remains the top player on the game as he is producing more than one goal involvement per game.
Robert Lewandowski (OVR 92)
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski deserves recognition for his outrageous goal record by being ranked alongside Messi and Ronaldo.
Lewandowski is arguably the best player in the world right now and that has been recognised on FIFA 22.
Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 91)
Cristiano Ronaldo was in fine goal-scoring form in Serie A last season, so it is a surprise to see his ratings go down.
A 92 OVR seemed fair for a Ronaldo who is not quite at the peak of his powers, but still better than almost everybody else, so we aren't happy with this new rating.
Career Mode
The ratings change more frequently on Career Mode with regular updates, but they will generally start with the same as Ultimate Team.
We are more interested in the player potential though, and goal machines Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland boast the best on FIFA 22 Career Mode.
Mbappe boasts a 95 potential in FIFA 22 Career Mode, with Haaland’s slightly lower on 93. We thought this gap would have been bridged on FIFA 22 as the Norwegian has been granted a rating of 88 OVR!
As far as FIFA 22 wonderkids go, you can’t look much further than Barcelona teenagers Pedri and Ansu Fati for the stars of the future.
Future Stars
EA has announced the players in FIFA 22 Career Mode that boast the highest potential, so keep an eye out for these talented stars in your saves!
Cover star and FIFA poster boy Kylian Mbappe leads the way, which is hardly surprising given his whopping 91 OVR to begin with.
PSG teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma also makes the list and is the best goalkeeper to sign in the game.
Check out the players with the highest FIFA 22 potential here.
Wonder Women
Joining in on the ratings reveal, EA dropped the top 22 female players on FIFA 22.
Unlike with the men's reveal, we don't have more in-depth stats, just their overall.
Megan Rapinoe has seen a big slide from her previous 93 OVR, letting the top spot be claimed by three players all on 92 OVR.
