With plenty of interest shown in the FIFA 22 FUT Web App too, it looks set to be a busy month with plenty of news coming our way ahead of the game at the end of the month.
As ever though, some people are jumping the gun and 'leaking' the FIFA 22 ratings, with the latest Top 10 'leak' criticised by the FIFA community.
The release date for EA's upcoming title has been confirmed, and there is not long to wait!
After months of speculation, EA announced that FIFA 22 will be released on Friday, 1 October 2021.
Early Access will be available from Tuesday, 28 September - with the EA Play Trial going live 10 days before release.
With this being the first FIFA title fully optimised for next-gen consoles, the expectation is as high as it has ever been for the new game.
Quashing the rumours
The original leak that came out last week was quickly quashed by the FIFA community as there were some notable absentees, including Kevin De Bruyne!
The Manchester City midfielder is almost guaranteed a place among the Top 10 in the game, and will likely be in the top five.
"That leak going around was completely and utterly FAKE. KDB is still in Top 10 and Lionel Messi is highest-rated player! The official reveal will be very soon!" said FUTZone on Twitter.
"That top 10 Fifa 22 Players Tweet just got deleted," was the response from another member of the FIFA community, Riggers.
However another list of ten players quickly followed, and this one looks more believable.
- Lionel Messi - PSG
- Cristiano Ronaldo - Manchester United
- Robert Lewandowski - Bayern Munich
- Kevin De Bruyne - Manchester City
- Kylian Mbappe - PSG
- Jan Oblak - Atletico Madrid
- Marc-Andre ter Stegen - Barcelona
- Mohamed Salah - Liverpool
- Neymar - PSG
- Karim Benzema - Real Madrid
Liverpool trio Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, and Alisson look like they could all lose their 90 OVR status if this leak is accurate, while Neymar and Kylian Mbappe could swap their ratings next season.
We would also expect N'Golo Kante to be right up near the top after another incredible season, but we shall have to wait and see.
