One aspect of the ratings has certainly caught out attention, with several centre-backs receiving big boosts to their pace stats.

EA has already stated they are trying to find a solution to people using full-backs in the middle of defence, and this could be one of them.
FIFA 22 Ratings
One of the most exciting days on the FIFA calendar is the ratings reveal for the new game.
EA has unveiled its Top 22 players in the game, while the partner clubs have also revealed their squad's ratings on social media.
We have seen some terrific cards so far, but the biggest news comes from the top where Robert Lewandowski has overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo in the rankings!
Lionel Messi has remained the best player on the game, while there are upgrades for the likes of Harry Kane, N'Golo Kante, and Gianluigi Donnarumma!

Golden Oldies
Portuguese giants Benfica and Porto have both revealed the ratings of their squad, and will also both have their stadiums exclusively in FIFA 22.
There are two players that stand out among their reveals though, and both are highly experienced centre-backs.
Portuguese veteran Pepe has always been a top-class defender, but he has received an 80 Pace rating for FIFA 22, his highest ever in the game!
At 38 years old, there must be something in the water over in Portugal!
Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen is not far behind Pepe either as he has been handed a +17 boost to his pace rating taking it up to 76.
His OVR may have come down, but he now looks like a much more useable card than before!
FUT Beasts
Along the same theme, three centre-backs have been revealed so far that we think will be insane in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team next season.
All three players boast terrific pace stats, with Milan Skriniar, in particular, receiving a huge upgrade to 80 Pace.
Eder Militao and Fikayo Tomori have been FUT favourites for the past couple of seasons, so it will be no surprise to see them populating the early squad in FIFA 22.
However, with so many centre-backs seemingly fitting the meta for FIFA 21, will we see a new attribute become more sought after?
Take a look at the three INCREDIBLE Ultimate Team centre-backs.
