It still doesn't quite seem right seeing Messi in a PSG shirt after he left his boyhood club, Barcelona in the summer.
However, the little magician has been busy since arriving in Paris!
So, check out everything you need to know about Lionel Messi in FIFA 22 below.
Latest - Messi OTW upgraded!
To celebrate his move to PSG, Messi received a Ones to Watch item, which will improve with every "in-form" appearance this season (TOTW or MOTM).
Messi's TOTW 10 appearance, coupled with the fact that PSG won five of their ten league games, means that the Argentine is now rated a whopping 95 OVR!
Messi's OTW watch card is now worth an insane 2.7 million coins on PlayStation and 2.2 million coins on Xbox.
Messi's FIFA 22 cards
Messi holds onto his top spot in FIFA 22 with a 93 rating -but for how much longer?
It's been a slow start to life in Paris for the Argentine, with just three goals so far - but all coming in the Champions League.
Messi has 95 dribbling, 92 shooting, 91 passing and 85 pace on the game - with the dribbling stat highly valuable in FIFA 22's meta.
The PSG forward costs a "reasonable" 870,000 coins on PlayStation and 740,000 on Xbox.
Messi earned his first in-form card back in Team of the Week 10, and in turn, earned boost for his Ones to Watch card too.
His OTW item also earned a boost after PSG won five domestic matches during the Wins to Watch period, leaving him with a 95 OVR.
Messi's most recent item in FUT 22 is his epic Team of the Year card.
The huge 98 OVR is one of the best available in the game and should stay that way for the remainder of the season.
Chemistry Styles
There's one go-to chemistry style that can be applied to most of Messi's cards...
Hunter - this is the number one choice for most players, offering a +9 in pace along with +3 shooting to give Messi perfect finishing.
Catalyst - this chemistry style will be for those wanting to play Messi in a playmaker role, boosting his passing by 6, along with a pace boost of 9.
Hawk - a Hawk will offer a more well-rounded attacker, with a +5 boost to Messi's physical stats, along with +5 pace and +5 passing.
Shadow - if you want to play Messi in a deeper midfield role then a Shadow chemistry style is your best option, providing a +8 boost to defending along with a +9 pace boost.
Similar Players
Messi is in a league of his own - but if you can't afford the hefty price tag, here's who you should consider.
Eden Hazard (OVR 85)
Eden Hazard's unstoppable dribbles for Chelsea somewhat resemble Lionel Messi, despite not reaching the same level with Real Madrid.
Although Hazard is not at the level of Messi in FIFA 21, the winger's stronger stats are his dribbling (88, passing (82) and shooting (80) - similar to Messi.
The Belgian is available at a snip of what he was last year, costing you just 4,400 coins on PlayStation and 5,400 on Xbox.
Angel Di Maria (OVR 87)
You can't get more similar than a player in the same league, same nationality, same club and same position - so Di Maria is the perfect set up for Messi.
The former Real Madrid man has 87 dribbling, 86 passing, 83 pace and 81 shooting - costing you 13,500 coins on PlayStation and just over 16,000 on Xbox One.
Lionel Messi in Career Mode
Following Messi's move to PSG, it may put a slight dent in your hopes to sign the Argentine.
That said - he has only penned a two-year contract, so you should be able to sign him for around £80 million from January 2022.
Whether that's worth it for a 34-year-old is up to you, and do remember you will need to shell out for his £275,000 a week wages.
Lionel Messi's FIFA 21 cards
Messi claimed six different cards on FIFA 21, and you could expect to see some similar items on FIFA 22.
Messi's base card in FIFA 21 was only let down by the fact he was a Right-Wing and not a Centre Forward.
The Argentine possesses 95 dribbling, 92 shooting and 91 passing, along with 85 pace which can be bumped up by using a Hunter chemistry style.
This in-form is amazingly the only Messi TOTW item from FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.
With a position change to a Centre Forward and all-round boosts to his stats, this Messi card was a favourite of professional players at the time of its release.
Messi's second performance-based special card came as a UEFA Champions League Team of the Group Stage card.
With 97 dribbling, 95 shooting, 94 passing and 88 pace, this card was the one that everybody wanted to pack at the time!
Leo Messi was named the LaLiga Santander Player of the Month for February, with the Argentine star shining out on the field play in familiar fashion.
The frontman scored 7 goals in the five games in February and was rewarded with an incredible SBC card in FUT.
Moving on to Messi's Team of the Year item, which he has earned every single year since the promo came into being on FIFA 12.
This Lionel Messi card still sells for a whopping 1.8 million coins on PlayStation and 1.9 million coins on Xbox - which tells you how good it really is!
And finally, Messi claimed a 98 OVR Team of the Season Striker card, for his brilliant 2020/21 campaign with Barcelona.
Applying a Catalyst Chemistry style gives TOTS Messi near-perfect pace along with perfect passing statistics.
There was just enough time for Messi to pick up a 99-rated card in FIFA 21 thanks to the Festival of FUTball: Summer Stars promo.
The Argentine's efforts at the Copa America saw him receive crazy stats of 99 shooting, 99 dribbling, 98 passing and 96 pace.
Capping off FIFA 21 Ultimate Team, Messi was awarded a 99 FUTTIES SBC card following his move to PSG.
You need 1.7 million coins to unlock the 10 squads required for Messi.
