Road to the Knockouts

Not sure how these new cards work? Let us explain.

Road to the Knockouts items are special upgraded Live Items in FUT 22 that have the potential to earn two further dynamic upgrades throughout the Group Stage of each tournament:

  1. If their team qualifies for the knockout stages of their current competition.
  2. If their club earns three wins from their four remaining Group Stage matches.

Team 2 out NOW

Team 2 of the Road to the Knockouts has arrived, with 11 awesome new cards available in packs now in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

Premier League stars Timo Werner, Fred, and Youri Tielemans have made the squad, with all three offering plenty in the game.

OUT NOW - Who will you find in your packs

Marco Reus and Frenkie de Jong are the two headline acts with 89 OVR cards, with the Barca man, in particular, looking like an early fan favourite.

We also like the look of Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba, and FUT 21 players will remember how could he was last season!

Max Kruse (OVR 84)

Start Date: Friday, 22 October

Expiry Date: Wednesday, 27 October

Objectives

There are four objectives to complete to unlock Kruse’s new Road to the Knockouts card and these objectives can be completed in Squad Battles or Rivals.

The requirements are as follows:

Touch of Quality – Score a finesse goal in 3 separate matches

1 x 75+ Rated Rare Player

Pinpoint Delivery – Assist 5 goals with crosses

1 x Gold Pack

German Goal-Getter – Score with a German midfielder in 4 separate matches

1 x Two Players Pack

Berlin Battle – Play 10 matches

1 x Small Electrum Players Pack

Worth it?

It's free, so why not?

If you are going to be playing Squad Battles or Division Rivals over the weekend then these objectives should be simple.

Kruse is not quick by any stretch, but his passing, shooting and dribbling make him an excellent playmaker to have behind some pacier forwards.

Even if you don't use him in your main squad, Kruse could come in handy when Icon Swaps rolls around...
