For outfield players, we usually define 'young' as 23 years old or under.

As goalkeepers mature as players slightly later and stay at the top of their field for longer, we will raise the bar a little.

Wage: £95,000 a week

Already the first choice for the Italian national side, first choice for AC Milan since he was 16, and now at the ripe old age of 22 is battling it out with Keylor Navas at PSG.

One of the best young prospects in world football regardless of position, Gianluigi Donnarumma will probably be most players' first choice when looking for a keeper.

With no need for a season or two's worth of growth, he will get into most teams' starting line-ups straight away.

Mike Maignan (OVR 85 - POT 90)

Age: 25

Club: AC Milan

Value: £54 million (Release clause: £96 million)

Wage: £42,000 a week

A mainstay in the Lille team that won Ligue 1 last season, Mike Maignan saw a slight improvement in his rating from the previous game and has since seen an increase of +1 this season.

Brought in to replace the departing Donnarumma at AC Milan, those are some big gloves to fill.

Gregor Kobel (OVR 82 - POT 87)

Unai Simon (OVR 82 - POT 85)

Dean Henderson (OVR 80 - POT 85)

Dean Henderson enjoyed a great loan spell at Sheffield United, before returning to Manchester United to battle it out for the first choice keeper.

Aaron Ramsdale (OVR 80 - POT 85)

Age: 23

Club: Arsenal

Value: £22 million (Release clause: £43 million)

Wage: £46,000 a week

Aaron Ramsdale has seen a remarkable run of form rewarded with rating increase after rating increase and has now become the man between the sticks for Arsenal.

Ugurcan Cakir (OVR 80 - POT 85)

Age: 25

Club: Trabzonspor

Value: £22 million (Release clause: £42 million)

Wage: £21,000 a week

Currently captaining the Trabzonspor side, Ugurcan Cakir could do with a move to a bigger league if he is to move on to the next level.

He has now received a boost to his potential rating that will make him a much more tempting buy compared to his previous 83 OVR.

Alban Lafont (OVR 79 - POT 85)

Age: 22

Club: Nantes

Value: £20 million (Release clause: £44 million)

Wage: £17,000 a week

At 16 Lafont become the youngest goalkeeper to play in Ligue 1 and he hasn't looked back since.

Racking up a staggering amount of appearances across multiple clubs, he now captains the Nantes team.

A potential increase rating of only 6 points seems harsh, but you could definitely help him to grow by more.

Club: Napoli
