There is probably only one name on your list when you think of the best young goalkeeper - Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Read on to see who else can even come close to Donnarumma as the best young goalkeeper on FIFA 22.
Defining best young goalkeeper
For outfield players, we usually define 'young' as 23 years old or under.
As goalkeepers mature as players slightly later and stay at the top of their field for longer, we will raise the bar a little.
Everyone on this list will be 25 or younger from your first save on FIFA 22 Career Mode.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (OVR 89 - POT 93)
Value: £103 million (Release clause: £198 million)
Wage: £95,000 a week
One of the best young prospects in world football regardless of position, Gianluigi Donnarumma will probably be most players' first choice when looking for a keeper.
With no need for a season or two's worth of growth, he will get into most teams starting line-ups straight away.
Mike Maignan (OVR 84 - POT 89)
Value: £43 million (Release clause: £76 million)
Wage: £39,000 a week
A mainstay in the Lille team that won Ligue 1 last season, Mike Maignan saw a slight improvement in his rating.
Brought in to replace the departing Donnarumma at AC Milan, those are some big gloves to fill.
Unai Simon (OVR 82 - POT 86)
Value: £30 million (Release clause: £65 million)
Wage: £21,000 a week
Unai Simon has seen his stock rise recently.
Over the last couple of seasons, he has cemented himself as the first-choice keeper for Athletic Bilbao and then starred in all of Spain's Euro 2020 matches over the summer.
Dean Henderson (OVR 80 - POT 87)
Value: £31 million (Release clause: £64 million)
Wage: £60,000 a week
Dean Henderson enjoyed a great loan spell at Sheffield United, before returning to Manchester United to battle it out for the first choice keeper.
He was getting plenty of game time and looked to have usurped David De Gea, but injury saw him lose his place, so he will be working to regain it once again.
Gregor Kobel (OVR 79 - POT 84)
Value: £19 million (Release clause: £33 million)
Wage: £31,000 a week
Claiming the position from Roman Burki, Gregor Kobel is now Borussia Dortmund's go-to between the sticks.
He hasn't kept a clean sheet in the Bundesliga this season, but that is more down to a leaky defence than his inability.
Ugurcan Cakir (OVR 79 - POT 83)
Value: £16 million (Release clause: £34 million)
Wage: £20,000 a week
Currently captaining the Trabzonspor side, Ugurcan Cakir could do with a move to a bigger league if he is to move on to the next level.
He is a cheaper option on FIFA 22 but doesn't have the best potential.
Alex Meret (OVR 79 - POT 86)
Value: £26 million (Release clause: £49 million)
Wage: £34,000 a week
Alex Meret is getting a decent amount of first-team action at Napoli due to them rotating keepers frequently.
He was in the Italy squad that won Euro 2020, but was the only squad member not to make an appearance in the competition.
Predrag Rajkovic (OVR 78 - POT 83)
Value: £14 million (Release clause: £29 million)
Wage: £17,000 a week
Predrag Rajkovic has added three more clean sheets to his name this season in Ligue 1.
He has seen a slight downgrade from his previous 79 OVR, so this may be the last season he is even worth considering signing on Career Mode.
Alban Lafont (OVR 78 - POT 83)
Value: £15 million (Release clause: £31 million)
Wage: £15,000 a week
At 16 Lafont become the youngest goalkeeper to play in Ligue 1 and he hasn't looked back since.
Racking up a staggering amount of appearances across multiple clubs, he now captains the Nates team.
A potential increase rating of only 5 points seems harsh, but you could definitely help him to grow by more.
Emil Audero (OVR 78 - POT 81)
Value: £13 million (Release clause: £31 million)
Wage: £12,000 a week
Regarded as a quality keeper, Emil Audero is probably at the wrong club to be recognised properly.
He keeps few clean sheets at Sampdoria but did manage an assist last season.
