Former Chelsea star dominates on CSL Matchday 1

The Team of the Season (TOTS) event is well underway now, with Ismaila Sarr the latest SBC card to arrive in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.

However, the TOTS players are not the only new cards to look out for this week as we will also see Team of the Week (TOTW) 31 arrive.

Take a look at the two Chinese Super League stars who have staked their claim for a new special card below.

Too good

Brazilian attacking midfielder Oscar was the inspiration behind Shanghai Port’s 6-1 opening day victory over Tianjin Jinmen Tiger.

Leading by example, the Shanghai skipper provided the assist for five of the six goals, but could not get on the scoresheet himself.

With five assists in a single game, we fully expect Oscar to feature in TOTW 31 now the Chinese Super League is underway.

An 87 OVR could be in store, offering a terrific new option to link with the likes of Paulinho, Alex Teixeira, and Anderson Talisca.

Three of the best

It was not just Oscar who starred for Shanghai in the opening week of the CSL.

Former West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic was too hot to handle, scoring three times in the 6-1 thrashing.

If the Austrian forward is selected on TOTW 31 it could result in a new 84 OVR card with excellent pace, power, and shooting stats.

However, as his teammate and captain Oscar provided five assists, we are backing the Brazilian to be selected this time.

All-Star XI

We could be in for a cracking TOTW squad on Wednesday, 28 April as many of Europe’s top stars were in the goals over the weekend.

Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema and Dimitri Payet all had three goal involvements, while Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Antoine Griezmann, Lorenzo Insigne and Alex Sandro scored braces.

This means there are plenty of top-class players for EA to select from this week, and we can’t wait.

A special mention also to Burnley’s Chris Wood who’s hattrick has all but secured The Clarets’ place in the Premier League for another season.

Champions

Manchester City claimed the first major piece of silverware this season as they beat Tottenham 1-0 at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

A limited number of fans were allowed into the stadium to watch as Aymeric Laporte scored the only goal of the game.

City dominated the game for large periods but struggled to find the breakthrough before Laporte’s winner.

The French defender’s late heroics could see him earn a Man of the Match (MOTM) card on FUT 21 with a rating of 88 OVR.
