Ronaldinho snubbed in Ronaldo’s star-studded Ultimate Team

This week’s FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Featured Squad comes from iconic Brazilian striker Ronaldo.

With two World Cup winners medals, Ronaldo is one of the most decorated players of all time and his Ultimate Team matches his incredible career.

Featured Squad Battle

Squad Battles are the offline version of division rivals, with various weekly ranks and rewards.

This week’s featured squad, selected by current FUT Icon Ronaldo, looks to be set up in a 4-1-2-1-2 with some of the best players ever involved.

Defence

There is a heavy Brazilian theme in Ronaldo’s team, with nearly half of the players selected coming from his native country.

In goal is Manchester City’s Ederson, and his 94 OVR Team of the Season (TOTS) card is the fifth highest-rated GK card currently available in FUT 21.

Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk form the right half of the back four, and their Team of the Year (TOTY) cards are incredible.

On the left side is Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos and Ronaldo’s former Brazil and Real Madrid teammate Roberto Carlos. A pretty useful defence in our opinion!

Midfield

In what looks to be a very attacking lineup, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne will sit at the base of midfield as R9 has selected his 96 OVR TOTS card.

On the right is Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi. Messi is another of the TOTY contingent in the squad and his 98 OVR card is nothing short of sensational.

On the left is PSG trickster Neymar Jr. who will form a great link with Roberto Carlos. We hope to see Neymar Jr. feature in Ligue 1’s TOTS squad soon.

At the tip of the diamond is another Brazilian icon in Pele. Currently the best-rated card on the game, Pele’s Icon Moments is the only member of the 99 OVR club so far this season.

Attack

If these two had played for Real Madrid at the same time, no defence would have stood a chance.

Ronaldo has paired himself upfront with his namesake Cristiano in a strike partnership that is mouthwateringly good.

We can only imagine what sort of carnage these two would have caused together, but let’s hope it is not the same in FUT 21!

While this squad is incredible, there is no room in it for other Brazilian icons and World Cup winners such as Ronaldinho and Rivaldo. A tough call to make.
