92-rated baller facing SHOCK Team of the Season axe

FIFA 21's Team of the Season (TOTS) promo will continue this week with the arrival of the Ligue 1 squad in packs.

The Serie A TOTS squad is currently the main attraction in Ultimate Team, and the Eredivisie and Chinese Super League Team of the Season squads are also available now.

With the French league set to arrive soon, there is one name we are all waiting on to see if they are included.

Release Date

The Team of the Season promo began over a month ago on Friday, 23 April.

Each release so far has been at 1pm ET / 6pm BST like all FUT promos, so this will continue for the Ligue 1 drop.

Serie A TOTS team arrived on Friday, 21 May, leaving just one major league squad left.

The Ligue 1 squad is now expected on Friday, 28 May with the Ultimate Squad set to be the final release on Friday, 4 June.

Ligue 1 Predictions

Ligue 1's top goal scorer and FIFA cover star Kylian Mbappe will certainly be included in the squad, and will likely be the main attraction too.

Mbappe could receive a new card on par with Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, and Cristiano Ronaldo at 98 OVR, although a 97 OVR is more likely.

We expect new Ligue 1 champions Lille to be well represented in the squad too, with the likes of Burak Yilmaz and Mike Maignan enjoying fantastic seasons.

Game over for Neymar?

Will Brazilian superstar Neymar feature in Ligue 1 TOTS? That is the big question.

Neymar has featured in every Team of the Season event since FIFA 15, with the lowest-rated card a 95 OVR.

One of the most popular players on the game thanks to his trickery, pace, and dribbling, a TOTS Neymar would be a highly sought-after card.

The 29-year-old made just 18 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring nine goals and creating six more in that time.

Those figures do put Neymar among the top 25 goal contributors in the league, but will that be enough to warrant selection by EA?

We would not select him on performances alone - but your best bet is that EA will squeeze him into the event one way or another, even if it is a Team of the Season Moments SBC.
