Updated player ratings are always a popular topic of discussion whenever a new FIFA is brought out, and FIFA 20 is no different. Now that the game has been out for a over a month, gamers would've had a chance to explore most players in the game.
Therefore, it is no surprise that a recent Reddit post has gained traction, posing the question "who is the most unfairly rated player" in FIFA 20. Below we have complied a list of the players who respondents believe to be some of the most underrated players on the game.
Most Underrated Players in FIFA 20
The following players were selected as the most underrated players in FIFA 20, by FIFA gamers on the FIFA sub-Reddit.
Jamie Vardy (OVR 82)
If Jamie Vardy is having a party, then EA are here to shut it down.
One Reddit user pointed out that "Vardy is the sixth highest premier league goal scorer this decade - despite making his debut in late 2014. Yet the likes of Haller, Rashford have higher rated base cards than he’s ever had".
Surely the Premier League winner is due an upgrade?
Robert Lewandowski (OVR 89)
He may have a whopping 89 overall rating, but FIFA fans think the Bayern forward is deserving of more.
"Lewandowski receiving an overall downgrade and a shooting downgrade after such an amazing season" responded one Reddit user; a valid opinion considering the Pole netted 40 times and bagged 13 assists last season.
Marcelo Brozovic (OVR 81)
"Brozovic as an 81 baffles me" was a popular comment on the Reddit thread.
You can understand this person's bemusement considering Inter Milan had the second best defence in the Serie A last season, conceding just six more goals than Juventus.
Francesco Caputo (OVR 75)
The second Serie A player on this list, Caputo is one of the more rogue shouts on the Reddit post.
However, after a bit of digging you can understand FIFA players' frustrations as "Caputo scored 16 goals in Serie A last season, [but] stayed 75 like nothing happened".
James Maddison (OVR 79)
Here's one that all Premier League and England fans can get on board with, as Maddison received a mere 79 overall rating this year, despite being one of Leicester's most integral players.
One Reddit user claimed "he should be atleast 82" and unsurprisingly, the Leicester midfielder has already received an 82 rated In Form card in FIFA 20.
Loftus-Cheek (OVR 79)
Another reasonable suggestion on the thread, as Loftus-Cheek is only 79 rated. The Chelsea midfielder achieved 10 goals and 5 assists in all competitions last season, even though he missed the last few months of action through injury. Should his 79 overall be boosted?
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (OVR 88)
The final man on our list is Arsenal's star man, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, who received a downgrade to his final FIFA 19 rating, despite winning the golden boot.
Unsurprisingly, the Gabonese forward was awarded an upgrade to 89 as part of his Player of the Month FUT card.
What do you think? Are the footballers above underrated, or are their ratings a fair reflection of their talent? Is there anyone missing from the list? Let us know in the comments below!
