FIFA 20: PES strike another blow by landing exclusive deal for Brazil rights

After losing the Juventus license, it another big miss for EA Sports as PES 2020 make further moves.

PES 2020 looks far better than last year's game

PES 2020 has made further advances in the battle between themselves and huge rivals FIFA 20, landing the exclusive rights for the Brazilian domestic setup.

Both the Brazilian top flight – the Brasileirao – and the second division, known as Serie B, will only appear on the Konami title this season, another loss for EA’s FIFA franchise.

The official ball of the Brasileirao has the Brazilian Football Confederation logo on it, suggesting that the national team could also be exclusive to Pro Evo. Last year neither FIFA or PES had the rights for the Selecao – with Neymar the only licensed player in their squad on FIFA 19.

It looks as if that is about to change.

Further movements

This by no means the first lucrative deal for Pro Evo this summer, after landing the exclusive rights for eight-time defending Italian champions Juventus just last week.

The Juventus name, crest, kit and Allianz Stadium will only appear on PES 2020, the first time FIFA have lost the club in 25 years. On FIFA 20, they will now be known as Piemonte Calcio.

In addition to this, Konami have also made a partnership deal with Bayern Munich, and although not exclusive, their stadium, the Allianz Arena, will only appear on PES 2020. This is for Spanish champions Barcelona, having renewed their partnership with the Catalans.

Premier League clubs Arsenal and Manchester United are also on the books for PES this year.

Palmeiras’ stadium Allianz Parque has already been announced as one of the stadiums on the game, but more could be about be added following the exclusive deal, possibly even the national stadium – the Maracana.
