FIFA 19 Wonderkids: Best German players to sign in Career Mode

Germany have always produced top quality footballers. We list ALL the best wonderkids from Germany on FIFA 19.

Following a disastrous World Cup in Russia, the German national team is sure to bounce back with their squad packed with talent. The exciting Leroy Sane and Timo Werner will compliment experienced players such as Toni Kroos, Mats Hummels and Thomas Muller as Germany will hope to compete for the European Championship in 2020. Which millennials will also be in and around the squad in the upcoming years?

How to choose the best German wonderkids in FIFA 19 Career Mode

This list looks at the best German wonderkids to sign on FIFA 19 Career Mode. Every player on this list is aged either 21 or younger at the start of Career Mode and have the potential to reach an 80 overall or higher. Each player must also start FIFA 19 Career Mode with an overall of 70 or more meaning they are capable of playing in the first team squad straight away.

Kai Havertz (OVR 79 – POT 88)

Age: 19
Position: CAM, RM, CF
Club: Bayer Leverkusen
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 83 Vision, 82 Short Passing, 81 Dribbling
Cost: £31.8 million (release clause)
Wage: £27,000

German wonderkid Kai Havertz is set to become a superstar, having already made his full international debut in September. The young midfielder has bagged six goals and five assists in 13 games so far this season, bettering his goal tally from last season already.

£31.8 million will be enough to land the talented 19-year-old on FIFA 19 Career Mode which seems expensive, however when you consider his 88 overall potential it seems much more reasonable. A well-balanced attacking midfielder, Havertz possesses excellent vision, passing and ball control attributes.

Nadiem Amiri (OVR 78 – POT 85)

Age: 21
Position: CAM, CM
Club: Hoffenheim
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 85 Dribbling, 81 Ball Control, 79 Short Passing
Cost: £24.2 million (release clause)
Wage: £24,000

Hoffenheim central midfielder Nadiem Amiri has missed the start of this season due to a stress fracture, however the youngster has made nearly 100 Bundesliga appearances already in his short career to date. On top of this, he has made 17 appearances for the German under-21 side and will no doubt be seen in the full squad sooner rather than later.

Amiri is excellent on the ball, 85 dribbling and 81 ball control make him very difficult to dispossess. The 21-year-old can also reach an 85 OVR meaning he is far from his peak, and for just £24.2 million on FIFA 19 Career Mode you can sign the promising midfielder.

Arne Maier (OVR 72 – POT 85)

Age: 19
Position: CM, CDM
Club: Hertha BSC
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 78 Short Passing, 76 Ball Control, 76 Marking
Cost: £12.3 million (release clause)
Wage: £8,000

19-year-old Arne Maier has helped Hertha BSC to an unbeaten start to the 2018/19 season and has been ever-present in central midfield. The teenager is yet to score for his club side although he’s scored regularly for the German youth international teams.

Maier has a lot of good attributes such as his 78 short passing and 76 marking, however he also possesses some remarkably low attributes with 39 sliding tackle and 32 heading accuracy. There is a lot of room for improvement and his potential is 85, so he could turn out to be a bargain on FIFA 19.

Salih Ozcan (OVR 70 – POT 85)

Age: 20
Position: CM, CDM
Club: FC Koln
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 76 Standing Tackle, 75 Ball Control, 74 Short Passing
Cost: £7.2 million (release clause)
Wage: £8,000

Salih Ozcan bagged his only goal for FC Koln against St. Pauli this season but will be looking to add more as he’s now made over 50 appearances for the club. The talented midfielder can play central midfield or out wide and will be hoping to contribute more goals as FC Koln look to make a swift return to the Bundesliga.

Ozcan starts with solid defensive stats as well as good passing and skill attributes. Shooting lets Ozcan down but the 20-year-old has lots of room to improve and time on his side, for just £7 million the German wonderkid is a bargain on FIFA 19 as he can reach an 85 OVR.

Dennis Geiger (OVR 70 – POT 84)

Age: 20
Position: CM
Club: Hoffenheim
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 85 Agility, 82 Balance, 79 Short Passing
Cost: £7.9 million (release clause)
Wage: £11,000

Dennis Geiger broke into the Hoffenheim first team last season, impressing with two goals and an assist from central midfield. Geiger missed the end of the season with a hamstring injury and is yet to make an appearance this season due to fitness problems.

Another promising German with high potential, Geiger can grow to an 84 OVR centre midfielder on FIFA 19 Career Mode. The 20-year-old needs work on his defensive and shooting attributes and can be trained easily and developed into an all-round midfielder.

Waldemar Anton (OVR 77 – POT 84)

Age: 21
Position: CB, CDM
Club: Hannover 96
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 80 Marking, 79 Standing Tackle, 78 Strength
Cost: £19.4 million (release clause)
Wage: £20,000

Waldemar Anton has impressed at the heart of the Hannover 96 defence despite their shaky start to the season. At just 21, Anton has played every minute of their campaign so far and was also made captain at the start of the season showing how highly rated he is.

Anton is a terrific young centre back on FIFA 19, possessing all the qualities to become a top-class defender. Standing at 6’2”, the 21-year-old (at the start of Career Mode) boasts 80 marking as well as the physical attributes to deal with the majority of attackers.

Maximilian Eggestein (OVR 78 – POT 84)

Age: 21
Position: CM, CAM, CDM
Club: Werder Bremen
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 96 Stamina, 80 Long Shots, 79 Short Passing
Cost: £23.4 million (release clause)
Wage: £20,000

Five goals and two assists so far represent an excellent start to the season for midfielder Maximilian Eggestein. The Werder Bremen star has played every minute in the Bundesliga and helped his side into the top four, just two points behind Bayern Munich.

Managers looking for a box to box midfielder should look no further than Eggestein, his 96 stamina and high defensive and attacking work rates make him the ideal man to boss your midfield. With the potential to improve on his already impressive attributes, £23,4 million may be a bargain for the midfield maestro.

Thilo Kehrer (OVR 77 – POT 84)

Age: 21
Position: CB, RB, LB
Club: PSG
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 85 Sliding Tackle, 81 Standing Tackle, 80 Aggression
Cost: £19.8 million (release clause)
Wage: £38,000

Promising defender Thilo Kehrer shot to prominence in the summer following an eyebrow raising £33 million transfer from Schalke 04 to PSG. The versatile 21-year-old has played all across the back four for his new club and looks set to be a permanent fixture in the French champions defence for years to come.

Kehrer is 21 at the start of Career Mode and boasts excellent tackling attributes on FIFA 19 with 85 sliding tackle and 81 standing tackle, he can also improve to an 84 overall. The 6’1” German international possess 75 pace and a five-star weak foot making him more than capable of excelling anywhere in defence.

Florian Neuhaus (OVR 73 – POT 84)

Age: 21
Position: CM, LM
Club: Borussia Monchengladbach
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 77 Agility, 76 Short Passing, 76 Ball Control
Cost: £11.7 million (release clause)
Wage: £14,000

Florian Neuhaus has started the season in fine form, the 21-year-old has already provided five assists in nine league matches. Central midfielder Neuhaus has also played nine times for the Germany under-21 side scoring once and will hope to build on his impressive start to the campaign.

Neuhaus is another young German midfielder with great potential as he can reach an 84 OVR on FIFA 19. Mobile and skilful, Neuhaus excels on the ball as his best attributes are his passing and dribbling. £11.7 million is enough to pry him away from Borussia Monchengladbach and he will be an asset to any Europa League level club.

Felix Uduokhai (OVR 76 – POT 84)

Age: 21
Position: CB
Club: Wolfsburg
Country: Germany
Best Stats: 79 Standing Tackle, 78 Interceptions, 78 Heading Accuracy
Cost: £16.7 million (release clause)
Wage: £23,000

Young centre back Felix Uduokhai has had a difficult start to the 2018/19 season, playing just six minutes at left back in the Bundesliga so far. Last season, Uduokhai made 17 league starts in an injury hit campaign and will hope his injury problems are behind him as he tries to fight his way back into the team.

6’4” centre back Uduokhai is an imposing presence at the back. His height and 78 heading accuracy make him dominant in the air whilst his 74 sprint speed make him mobile for someone of his size. With an 84 potential, his £16.7 million price tag appears to be a bargain on FIFA 19 Career Mode.
