As popular as Yu-Gi-Oh! is, the card game turned television series penned by the late Kazuki Takahashi has never really dipped its toes into the world of sneakers. This has all changed though as adidas has partnered with the franchise to reveal a new Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas collection.

The capsule containing ADI2000s and Reptossage Slides is inspired directly by Yugi Mutou, the show's main protagonist, and his Dark Magician Duel Monster followed by Yugi's arch-rival Seto Kaiba and his own signature card Blue Eyes White Dragon.

This isn't the first time the world of anime has crossed over into the fashion world though. Back in June, we saw Vans team up with Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon to launch a full apparel collection, and Jordan even dropped its own Naruto capsule not too long ago.

However, this is the first time Yu-Gi-Oh! has teamed up with adidas but, on the surface, it seems like the two have blended rather well. That said, here's everything we know about the Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas collection so far...

Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas Collection Release Date

The Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas collaboration has been rumoured for a while but a release date has remained a mystery up until this point.

Following the official reveal of the ADI2000s and Reptossage Slides though, adidas has now confirmed that the entire collection is out now on the CONFIRMED app as of 7 October 2022.

To figure out which shoes to buy, let's take a closer look now at the Yu-Gi-Oh!-themed designs...

Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas Collection Designs

As touched on, the collection is based around the franchise's hero Yugi Mutou and his rival Seto Kaiba. As a result, the all-white ADI2000s feature graphics of the two characters and associated Duel Monsters.

As pictured above, you can see an image of Yugi's Dark Magician printed across the lateral sides of the ADI2000s. Moreover, you get a custom shoe box featuring an image of Yugi himself to tie the sneakers together.

The shoes also come with a bespoke hang tag with a piece of Exodia etched onto the surface. Famously, Exodia was the first card released to have an alternative victory condition; however, all five parts were required to win a game.

Next up is a similar pair of white ADI2000s with light blue accents to match the Blue Eyes White Dragon graphic featured on the sides.

Once again, the sneakers come with a unique shoe box complete with a graphic of Blue Eyes' owner Seto Kaiba and a hag tag that features the right leg of Exodia this time around.

The Reptossage Slides then deviate from the white colour scheme, arriving in black instead with images of Yugi, Dark Magician, Seto, and Blue Eyes White Dragon printed across the hook and loop straps.

The insoles are dressed in purple and blue respectively to match their monsters and feature a unique bubble-like pattern to complete the design.

Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas Collection Price

Like the release date, the price of the ADI2000s and Reptossage Slides was unknown up until recently when adidas revealed the full collection.

As a result, it's now been confirmed that both the Yugi and Seto ADI2000s cost $120 in adult sizing (£90 if you're based in the UK).

Both sliders are slightly cheaper as they're priced at $70 (£55) instead. With these prices in mind, where exactly can you pick up the collection?

Where To Buy The Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas Collection

As mentioned, the ADI2000s and the Reptossage Slides can be found listed on the adidas CONFIRMED app right now as well as on the website.
