FIFA will be leaving Xbox Game Pass next month

Xbox Game Pass is the service that keeps on giving, with many games added each month, including top titles such as Outriders, ML: The Show 21, and GTA V.

But, as new games are added, some are removed from Game Pass.

And while we're sure to get some great new titles on Game Pass next month, we're also losing some, including FIFA.

FIFA Leaving Game Pass

FIFA is set to leave Xbox Game Pass next month due to also being deactivated on EA Play.

But don't worry, they're only games you probably don't play anymore anyway.

We assume they're being deactivated because they're taking up valuable server space, along with the online servers still being managed, and it is very likely that next to no-one is actually playing them.

Here are the games that are being delisted,

  • FIFA 15
  • FIFA 16
  • FIFA 17
  • FIFA 18

Players will have until May 6th to play them before they're removed.

But, if you do enjoy playing them then you can buy them for as little as 50p from CEX.

This will only affect EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers as EA Play isn't available to regular Game Pass or Game Pass for PC members.

EA Play was added to Xbox Game Pass Ulimate in late-2020 after Microsoft began really putting a lot of focus on making Game Pass the go to service for the top games.

Since then we have seen both Outriders and MLB: The Show 21 launch on Xbox Game Pass, similarly to how we've seen games such as Oddworld: Soulstorm and Destruction All-Stars launch on PS Plus.

Over the coming days we should find out the next set of games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

We already know that Dragon Quest Builder 2 will be coming to the service on May 4th based on the Microsoft Store listing.
