Previously announced by Blizzard earlier this year in March was the arrival of Season 4 to World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
This new season is set to forgo the usual scheduling where seasons release alongside new raids and instead be used as a way to fill in the gap between the end of Shadowlands and Dragonflight's release.
It was previously thought that this brand-new season would go live with the 9.2.5 update but now that the final patch has gone live and players haven't spotted Season 4, questions have been raised.
With that in mind, here's what we know about Shadowlands Season 4's release date.
When does Shadowlands Season 4 release?
Following Shadowlands Season 3's end, Shadowlands Season 4 will begin on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with the weekly reset.
Once it's live in-game, players will have an updated Mythic+ dungeon pool, a new affix, new Shadowlands raid difficulties, and more.

What is coming in Shadowlands Season 4?
The new season is set to bring on several changes, such as the usual new PvP season, an updated Mythic+ pool, and a new feature for raiding that will give it extra difficulties.
The new raid feature will make it so players can go back and visit current and past Shadowlands' raids, namely Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones, in order to get more powerful levels of raid loot.
The updated Mythic+ pool will see a total of eight dungeons join the fray: six dungeons hand-picked by Blizzard themselves, and two more from WoD that were put up to a community vote.
Amongst the dungeons chosen by Blizzard are the previous two expansions' two-part dungeons, Operation Mechagon and Return To Karazhan, to go alongside Tazavesh. This left the last two dungeons up to the community, who chose Grimrail Depot and Iron Docks.
