This time around the specs have jumped quite drastically from the base version of WoW.

In the base version it recommends a GTX 970 with 4GB of VRAM, this time it recommends a GTX 1080 with 8GB of VRAM, a pretty big jump.

Looking at gameplay footage, it does look a bit nicer than I remember WoW being during my experience with it, but I think a GTX 1080 is a bit of a stretch, unless you're going for higher frame rates.

But World Of Warcraft isn't a game where a huge advantage is given with higher frames.

It is also interesting that the minimum requirements is a huge downgrade from the recommended, requiring a 7 year old CPU and GPU.

As long as your rig has a GTX 10 series or above, and a 6th gen Intel i5/Ryzen 1st gen or above you will likely be more than fine with running the game.

The GTX 1060 6GB is the most commonly used graphics card so most players will have either that or better, which should more than suffice for the game.
