WoW Dragonflight: Dracthyr Customization Options & Colors Revealed

Initially revealed earlier this year, World of Warcraft's ninth expansion, Dragonflight, is set to have Azeroth's heroes return back home and re-discover the forgotten land of the Dragon Isles.

In the expansion, players will have tons of new features and content to enjoy. These include changes to gameplay with the new talent system, a new form of transportation in Dragonriding, and the usual bells and whistles that come with a new expansion. Additionally, it'll introduce a new race, the Dracthyr, which will come with their own race-specific class, the Evoker.

The Dracthyr are an ancient race of humanoid dragonkin that—like the Worgen—can swap between forms, their Dracthyr or dragon-like form, and their Visage or humanoid form. They come with a set of customization options unique to just them and, after showcasing glimpses of the new race initially, Blizzard has just shown off even more of them.

New Dracthyr Customization Options Revealed

In a recent post, Blizzard Entertainment revealed more Dracthyr customization options coming in WoW Dragonflight.

With the new customizations, players will be able to base their Dracthyr races on WoW's five major dragonflights—the Red, Green, Bronze, Blue, and Black dragonflights. They will also be able to take pride in representing some of the lesser dragonflights such as the Chromatic, Twilight, and Infinite dragonflights

Mainly pertaining to their draconic Dracthyr form, the post showcased over a dozen different horn shapes, scale, and marking patterns. It also provided a wide-ranging palette of colors.

The customization options for the Dracthyr seem to run deep, deeper than any other race in the current version of the game. On top of the aforementioned options, players will also be able to alter their Dracthyr's snouts, eyes, and more.

To top it all off, the post also demonstrated the four different body types players will be able to choose for their Dracthyr. They range from a thinner frame to a more bulkier build with more muscle. This comes after the devs faced backlash over their body size, prompting the community to give their own versions of it.

It's expected that the Dracthyr and their new customization options will be playable once Dragonflight's Alpha goes live in the near future.
