WoW Dragonflight

Now that World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has been released, there are many valuable items that players can earn and collect.

From armor and weapons to precious reagents, consumables, and more, there are plenty of items that players can't afford to lose. However, sometimes, these items disappear from their bags, or even worse... players end up accidentally deleting or selling them. That's where the Item Restoration feature comes into play.

If you're one of these players who "mysteriously" lost an item you really needed, then we've got you covered.

GET IT BACK: Retrieve your items via Item Restoration

The service is quite literally what it states, it restores items. No matter if they're sold, deleted, or disenchanted, with the service you can get them back. One small caveat though, if the items cannot be recovered via the service they are gone forever.

Here's a step-by-step on how to restore items with Item Restoration:

  • Visit Blizzard's official Item Restoration page
  • Select "Begin Item Restoration"
  • On the top right-hand corner select the account you'd like to restore an item from
  • Scroll through the server the character belongs to
  • Select the item
  • Review your Item Restoration and that's it! All done
  • To reclaim your lost item visit your local mailbox

In order to take the item out of the mailbox, you'll have to pay a fee. If disenchanted, you'll need the materials used to create the item, if sold you'll just have to pay the price that it was sold for.

Additionally, it's worth noting that the Item Restoration feature does come with its limitations.

  • Players must have an active World of Warcraft account
  • Stackable crafting materials, consumables, collectibles such as pets, mounts, heirlooms, holiday or temporary items, and more cannot be restored
  • Items traded or mailed to another character, items sold at the Auction House, or items destroyed prior to Server or Faction changing cannot be restored

Players can only restore items every seven days.
