Splitgate has made a pretty huge impact over the last few years. Slowly growing its player base, it's now crushing concurrent player records and making a name for itself in its open beta. This has allowed hundreds of thousands of players to join in and it has also caused some ruckus on the state of the game's servers. Needless to say, the team have their work cut out for them over the next year as the game gets even bigger.
For this reason, many are asking if Splitgate will see a launch on Nintendo Switch. Here's what we know so far.
Splitgate Release Date
As of right now, there is no defined release date as it was pushed back from its planned release date of July 27th. This being said, we know it's coming at some point in August.
As the game is currently in open beta, we can't see it being pushed back any further but it wouldn't be a huge commitment to do so, the game is free after all.
Platforms
As of right now, Splitgate is planned to release on PC, PS4 / PS5, Xbox One / Xbox Series X. It was released in early access on PC on May 24th 2019 but won't launch in early access on console for another few weeks. This being said, it's in open beta right now.
Will Splitgate come to Nintendo Switch?
Unfortunately, Splitgate is currently not planned to release on Nintendo Switch right now. Although the game has exploded in popularity, it's still a small team and there are lots of issues to fix over the next year, alongside making the game profitable with cosmetics and things like this.
While it could one day come to Nintendo Switch, it seems very unlikely that it will any time soon.
