Wrath of the Lich King arrived nearly five months ago to World of Warcraft: Classic, bringing tons of new content, and now it's going to be receiving even more content with WoW Classic WotLK Phase 2. And taking part in that will be Ulduar.

Releasing over 13 years ago, Ulduar has long since been one of World of Warcraft's most iconic raids. This 14-boss deep monster of a raid had it all: unique bosses, terrific loot, a Legendary weapon, and most important of all, a fresh brand-new mechanic, Hard Mode. Now, it's Classic's turn to experience it.

If you're one of these players eagerly awaiting the release of Ulduar to WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic but don't know what time it'll release then we've got you covered.

What time does Ulduar release in WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic?

After sitting two months in the Public Test Realm (PTR) as a part of WoW Classic WotLK Phase 2, Ulduar is set to go live on Thursday, January 19, 2023, just two days after WoW Classic WotLK's Phase 2 launch on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Players can expect Ulduar to release at 6:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, January 19, 2023. If you're one of these players waiting for its release and want to make sure you don't miss it, follow along with our countdown here.

Once Ulduar is live, players will get to encounter 14 bosses. Ten of these bosses, namely Flame Leviathan, XT-002 Deconstructor, Assembly of Iron, Freya, Hodir, Thorim, Mimiron, General Vezax, Yogg-Saron, and Algalon the Observer, will have the aforementioned Hard More. Algalon is WoW's first hard mode only encounter.

Additionally, it's worth noting that loot for Ulduar will be different this time around. Originally, Ulduar's loot was made irrelevant quickly once the Trial of the Crusader raid was released shortly after. This time around, the loot will be more competitive. All normal-level loot from Ulduar has been upped by six item levels, and Hard More-level loot will be increased by 13 item levels.

These changes were made by Blizzard in an effort to "keep the raid relevant for longer."
