Is Warhammer 40K Darktide Coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Warhammer 40K Darktide is finally getting its release in 2022 after a series of delays that saw the title move from its initial release date of 2021 to its newest release date of Wednesday, 30th November 2022.
The upcoming title is an Xbox Series S|X and PC exclusive and was announced as one of the major upcoming titles to be released on Day One via Xbox Game Pass but this newest delay has brought its future as a Day One release into question.
The November 30th release date, while seemingly the final date for Warhammer 40K Darktide on PC, this date doesn't account for its console release which still only has a "Coming in 2022" date attached to it on the Xbox storefront.
This has now led to a lot of questions about its Game Pass launch as there is no longer a clear and fixed release date for the title on all platforms. The likely outcome, however, is that Warhammer 40K Darktide will see a staggered launch onto the Xbox Game Pass service.
Many games have seen this approach, with a PC or Console release coming before the inevitable expansion onto the other version of Game Pass. This is likely the approach that Warhammer 40K Darktide will take also. An initial release on Xbox Game Pass for PC once the game comes out on Wednesday, 30th November 2022 and then another release once it finally arrives on consoles after the fact.
