Valencia 0-2 Barcelona: 5 things we learned

Valencia looked to upset the odds at a packed and noisy Mestalla as they tried to turn around a one goal deficit in the second leg of the Copa del Rey.

Forcing Barcelona's cup keeper Jasper Cillessen into action occasionally, they made it to half-time with a foothold in the game.

This would have been exactly what Marcelino was hoping for as he looked to bring on the likes of Carlos Soler and Gonçalo Guedes to push for a goal in the second half.

But it was Barcelona's substitute, Philippe Coutinho who made the difference, opening the scoring to put the tie beyond Valencia. Luis Suarez capped off a comfortable victory with a second.

In a repeat of the 2016 final, Barcelona will face Sevilla in a match that will likely take place at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
