Considering they just demolished the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round on national television, it’s fair to say the Green Bay Packers, with their 79 overall rating, good for 25th overall, are criminally underappreciated in the Madden space.

On perhaps the most underrated team in virtual football, here are three Green Bay Packers who deserve a higher overall rating in Madden 24.
Jordan Love QB: 79 Overall
He’s gone up seven overalls since the start of the season, so it’s a testament to just how dominant Jordan Love has been that we think he still deserves better than a 79.
In the mold of Rodgers and Favre, Love has proven himself to be a true gunslinger during his first full season as a starter, finishing 2nd in the NFL with 32 passing touchdowns and top ten in total offense and QBR.
Those stats are already incredible enough, but it’s his play over the back half of the year that has transformed Love's debut campaign from good to truly spectacular.
Since Green Bay’s week 10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, you can make a very convincing argument that Love has been the best QB in football. Over that nine-game stretch, the Utah State grad has thrown for nearly 2,500 yards, 21 touchdowns, and only a single interception, all while sporting a sterling 116.6 passer rating.
79 overall has him ranked as the 15th best QB in Madden 24, but we think Jordan Love should easily be top ten and not just in Green Bay Packers Madden 24 ratings, we’re talking top ten QBs this season.
Zach Tom LT: 79 Overall
When All-Pro tackle David Bakhtiari went down in week 1 with yet another season-ending injury, it seemed like the Packers offensive line would be in for a season of chaos and disarray. And, it just might have if not for the unexpected stability of one 2022 4th round pick.
Drafted 140th overall out of Wake Forest, Zach Tom wasn’t projected to be much more than a depth piece for Green Bay's o-line heading into the season, but he quickly proved he belonged and then some when given the opportunity to shine.
Tom has been an absolute anchor at RT (even though Madden 24 still has him listed at LT), playing the 11th most snaps of any tackle in football last season all while allowing only two sacks and three penalties.
But, where Tom truly shines is in the run game, and his work opening up holes in the Cowboys defensive line was a huge reason why Aaron Jones rushed for 118 yards and 3 TDs in their playoff win.
Ranked as just the 25th-best LT in Madden, Tom deserves far better after an exceptional sophomore year.
Dontayvion Wicks WR: 75 Overall
The Packers are a team loaded with good but not great receivers, and that’s well reflected on Madden 24. While they don’t have a single pass catcher rated over 80 overall, they do have four between 79 and 75, including rookie Dontayvion Wicks.
Like the previously mentioned Zach Tom, Wicks was not expected to be much more than a depth piece to start the season after being drafted 159th overall out of the University of Virginia. But, the 22-year-old has slowly worked his way into more playing time throughout the course of the season to become an important piece in Green Bay’s passing offense.
Since week 9, Wicks has been leading Packers’ receivers in yards per game, while finishing third in total receptions and second in receiving touchdowns. Most impressive of all, his monster 61-yard two-touchdown performance in Week 18 against the Bears was integral in Green Bay securing their playoff spot.
While he’s not as egregiously underrated as Love or Tom, we think Wicks deserves to be bumped up a couple of notches to match Romeo Doubs (77), Christian Watson (77), and Jayden Reed (78).
We expect Madden 24 Packers’ ratings to surge if the team can keep up their momentum throughout the playoffs.
