Two new characters have made the roster, and they're a perfect fit!
These characters are Pyra and Mythra from the Xenoblade Chronicles series.

You can play as Pyra and Mythra in Super Smash Bros Ultimate in March, so you have some time to play through Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to catch up.

Nintendo Direct
Nintendo Direct has come and gone, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate may have had the biggest reveal of the event.
These two new Xenoblade Chronicles characters expand the roster to new series, and while fans are still wanting more, they're a great start.
While this announcement may have been one of the strongest, Nintendo Direct also revealed a Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword remaster.
