Skyrim is back once more and it's time to start feeling your age looking back on the last ten years of the game. Coming with new visuals and upgrades to the creation club, this is one you may not want to miss. Here's what we know about it.

Latest - Out Today

Now, ten years after its first launch, Skyrim is back once more. You can play it for yourself starting today.

If you already own the game, you can pay a small fee for the upgrade. If not, you can purchase the full version right now.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition Release Date & Time

The Skyrim Anniversary Edition will be released on the exact ten year anniversary of the game, Thursday, 11 November. Bethesda clearly likes the sound of that date as it's also the planned release date for Starfield next year.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition Release COUNTDOWN

What's special about this edition is that over 500 pieces of Creation Club content are included. A true Fishing mechanic is also coming to the game which was advertised back in the reveal stream during QuakeCon 2021.

There are also some visual upgrades coming but you will not need to own to Anniversary Edition to get access to these. They will be made available on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S for free if you own any version of the game.

Pricing

The Skyrim Anniversary Edition will cost $49.99 / €54.99 / £47.99 at launch. If you already own the Skyrim Special Edition, you can instead upgrade to the Anniversary Edition at a reduced cost. The upgrade will cost $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99.

This pricing has been received well by the community. Everyone is happy to see Bethesda acknowledge those who already own the Special Edition by making a cheaper upgrade option available.
