Serena Williams Design Crew (SWDC) has teamed up with Nike once again to unveil a new "Summit White" pair of Force 1s coming our way following the Queen of Tennis announcing her retirement from the sport.
Their reveal has come shortly after blue versions of the SWDC Air Force 1s were seen earlier this year, with both colourways featuring a unique zip-up lock-in system rather than traditional laces.
Dressed almost entirely in white though, these "Summit White" SWDC shoes more closely resemble the iconic and incredibly popular '07 Air Force 1s first launched, as their name suggests, in 2007.
With big shoes to fill, how exactly do these "Summit White" sneakers compare to one of the best Air Force 1s of all time? On the surface, it looks as though they're certainly ones to watch. So, with that in mind, here's everything we know about their release so far...
Serena Williams Design Crew x Nike Air Force 1 Summit White Release Date
Despite some reports announcing their arrival in February, Nike SNKRS has now confirmed that the "Summit White" Air Force 1s are available as of 29 August 2022.
Make sure you act fast to secure your pair as they'll likely sell out fast given the highly popular profile of Serena Williams and the Air Force 1 model.
Serena Williams Design Crew x Nike Air Force 1 Summit White Design
As their name suggests, the "Summit White" Air Force 1s are made almost entirely from an all-white pebbled leather material that is matched by the classic white sole units.
However, the sneakers include a few unique characteristics that separate them from previous Air Force 1 releases, with the double embroidered Swooshes along the side panels being one of them.
You also get a metallic gold zip where you'd usually find the laces, offering you a more unique lock-in system than what you'd traditionally find on a pair of Nike sneakers.
The golden tone is then continued as you make your way around to the heels as you'll find Serena's signature embroidered in a gold thread at the top of the heel tabs.
As a final nod to Serena's legendary playing career, Nike adds custom woven labels to the tongues that display "10 4 01" and a special message that reads "A collection created to inspire change and move the world."
Serena Williams Design Crew x Nike Air Force 1 Summit White Price
The official listing confirms that the SWDC Air Force 1s cost $130 in adult sizing.
It's unclear whether smaller and subsequently cheaper kids' sizes will also be made available just yet, so stay tuned for further updates on the price right here once Nike unveils more information.
