In a big new step for the company, Redfall is a fascinating new project from Arkane. A co-op multiplayer FPS, players of Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood may get a kick out of it. Here's what we know about it so far.
LATEST - Redfall Delayed
Possibly in an attempt to temper expectations before the stream, Redfall and Starfield have both been delayed until the first half of 2023.
Hopefully, we'll see some news on it soon.
Redfall Release Date
As of right now, we don't have a defined release date just yet. Last year, it was announced it would be arriving in Summer 2022 but it has since been delayed. There's a new Xbox and Bethesda showcase in June and, if we don't see a Redfall release date then, we won't see one for a little while.
If we see an official release date any time soon, we'll update you right here on everything new.
Redfall Preorder Details
The Bethesda site has a full page dedicated to Redfall but we don't yet have preorder details. It seems likely these will come alongside a release date announcement.
Over on the page, you can get access to an Arkane community and can download an exclusive wallpaper for free. Alongside this, you can download unique images, going over our four main characters alongside some general atmospheric stills. You can access the site here.
Redfall Gameplay Details
Redfall is a co-op FPS that has you take the role of one of four main characters. You are placed in the town of Redfall, Massachusetts that has been cut off from the rest of the world. In doing so, vampires are hunting down humans and a vicious cult is mysteriously supporting them. You and your buddies will be the last stand against their diabolical plans.
Although we have seen a trailer, we haven't seen any official gameplay just yet. It seems to be taking inspiration from co-op shooters like Back 4 Blood and Left 4 Dead but with a vampire twist. All of the main characters have special powers, operating somewhat like a hero shooter. You need to pick out your character and drive a stake through your enemies.
